Indian Milkshake: Vanilla Ice Cream blended with full cream milk and rose syrup

Really nice creamy Milkshake

Falooda FTW!

Loco Cheesecake
Mixed at 6% in 70/30 VG/PG 3mg nic
Tested in Ice3 RDA, 0.22 Ohms, 45W

Notes:

I wasn't sure what to expect here - baked cheesecake, cold cheesecake, with or without crust, etc... This is a rich and creamy cheesecake flavour which will work well with any topping (strawberry, blueberry, passion fruit , etc). I didn't detect any crust, just a plain smooth cheesecake...a good one at that!
Like all creams, this will need a couple of weeks to really shine through but based on the initial testing, it will just get better and better!
I thinks this will add great mouth-feel to custards and ice cream recipes - perhaps even add a bit to the Loco Milk Tart which needs a little kick...
I would add a touch of Graham crust - not too much though, for that authentic cheesecake flavour. This has just the right sweetness and can easily be a standalone cheesecake - nice and "neutral". At a push, i would gooi a bit of sweet cream and meringue for a decadent sweet vape (for those who like a sweeter feel). Well impressed with this one - good things will come from it...

Loco Cheesecake

Snip

I was hesitant to try this one as cheesecake can wither be really good or make you dry heave so its been standing steeping till i could build up the courage to attempt it. Now I'm quite looking forward to it, thanks.

Loco Milk tart

Mixed at 6% in 70/30 VG/PG 3mg nic
Tested in Ice3 RDA, 0.22 Ohms, 45W

Notes:

Based on other Milk Tarts around, I was a bit apprehensive on this simple yet complicated taste profile. As a standalone, it is reminiscent of the milk tart my granny used to make - not the sickly sweet Pick 'n Pay version which most people base their Milk Tart experience on. Traditional milk tart is a far cry form the stiff, cinnamon encrusted, over-set thick custard mess available at most supermarkets. A traditional milk tart is a bit more delicate and refined = a set vanilla custard baked on a nice buttery crust and dusted with freshly grated cinnamon. The "secret ingredient" was usually a drop of almond essence...

I found this flavour promising but a bit flat - it has all the elements to become something = custard, cinnamon, sweetness, etc but it feels as if something was left out. I would add a bit of Loco Cheesecake to bolster the body and give this one a solid backbone. I found the cinnamon just a bit "fake" - the cinnamon in here tastes like the "fake" flavour in Jawbreaker/Fireball sweets or worse, AferShock! It needs that authentic Cinnamon taste to top it off. Not bad but not great.

Loco Coffee

Mixed at 2.5% in 70/30 VG/PG 3mg nic
Tested in Ice3 RDA, 0.22 Ohms, 45W

Notes:

Coffee flavours are notoriously difficult to nail and this one comes close but not quite there (yet). It has a good coffee flavour at a low % and will work well in coffee recipes. The taste is very "earthy" and I suspect it will mellow into a more refined flavour with a solid 10 day or so steep. I got that burnt rubber taste but lets hope it dissipates. I don't think I can do this as a standalone...but I cant imagine anyone sucking on a pure coffee juice...

I adapted one of my favourite coffee recipes and added 2% Loco Marshmallow and 5% Loco Custard to create a stunning Creamy Coffee. The initial taste was promising and I suspect it will work. To give this one a fair chance, it needs 2 weeks for the custard to do its thing. I will report back.

OK I wont have nearly as lengthy a review per liquid as some of the professionals here...

Mint

Fantastic standalone at 5% clears the sinuses and cools the lungs on a damn hot day like you won't believe.

As a additive also spot on from 1 to 5% depending how hard a kick you want.

Butterscotch

Standalone nothing to write home about. Reminds of Wilsons butterscotch candies.

As an additive this excited the hell outta me after I initially tested the mint and then the butterscotch. Mixed up a 100ml of these two friends combined and it is exactly those after dinner butterscotch mints from the steak houses. Been vaping it flat out for 24hours since mixing down about 20ml already.

Now on to the 3 most important requested flavours.

STRAWBERRY

I like this... more than FA and TFA strawberries/ripe that i mixed up when I first started diy'ing. Also beats the socks off CLY which I found putrid. Its closest to real strawberry and I am willing to put my serpent mini 25 on a block that this will make mustard milk better than the standard required concentrate.

Next up

STRAWBERRY MILK

The hits just keep on coming. This is even more strawberry than the plain strawberry. Really reminds me of Neskwik from schooldays.

This can go standalone with a hit of koolada to make it ICE cold milk.

Going to mix this tonight.

STRAWBERRY CREAM

I once had a moirs strawberry instant puddig and this is that. No joy on this one guys. On the exhale it has a weird warm aftertaste. I think cream will be a bust. This is also the only flavour I recieved with a perfumy taste to it like the CLY concentrates gave off. Dont like the Strawberry Cream much. Will see if it improves with more steep.

MALVA

I am not a mixologist as yet and I do not have the time to try and make a crappy flavour work as a bigger recipe. If it sucks alone I probably won't tinker with it any further.

Sorry Malva coconutty microwave cake. Nah.

Icecream.... you will need fresh wicks so I will report back on this tomorrow.

I am hoping for a Loco Strawberry and Ice Cream Mustard Milk to beat the socks off my current mix.

Just wondering :wait: : What percentages did you use for butterscotch, strawberry, strawberry milk and strawberries and cream, and malva pudding?

Sorry my noobmess is shining through with this post.

All my testers went through at 5% (The 10ml batches)

Then I mixed a Mint/Scotch candy at 7% Butterscotch and 5% Mint wth 1.5mg nic (This is a winner for me, some might like the mint a little toned down)

Also something peculiar, my tested Strawberry milk standalone came through beautifully, but my 6% Strawberry Milk and 1.5% Koolada seems to have brought out a completely different flavour in it. Not sure if like as much but will let it steep a bit and revert.

After starting low, I did all my single flavour tests at 8% to get a solid sense of what each flavour offers. Final test after 3 day steep.

Mixed 0nic 60/40 Vg Pg and tested in Derringer V3 + Kayfun 5 at various wattages.

Keeping it short and sweet:

Loco Strawberry

Notes:

It is not my favourite strawberry flavour, but still pleasant enough for a "pink milk" vibe. Has a slight cotton candy quality to it. It won't replace the TFA/Cap favourites for me. Overall decent enough.

Loco Kiwi

Notes:

This one was really nice, it is pretty authentic, but also has candy like qualities and I found it very refreshing. Mixed with some strawberry or even standalone with a drop or 2 Koolada will be a nice vape during the summer time.

Loco Passion Fruit

Notes:

This smelled a lot like Granadilla Twist soda and I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately it tasted more like warm flat 11 in 1 "aanmaak" cooldrink. It lacks that "bite and fizz". Probably won't go back to it.

Loco Condensed Milk

Notes:

Tastes nothing like Condensed Milk, all I'm getting is a Coconut bakery vibe. Best way to describe it is similar to Tennis Biscuits, which is not a bad thing! It will have it's uses for sure, but not as "Condensed Milk".

Loco Ice Cream

Not for me. Get a plastic / metallic note from it, little to no vanilla. There are much better Ice creams available.

Loco Milk Tart

Notes:

Doesn't taste like Milk Tart, it is more of a Cheesecake to me. It has a definite sour note, but not unpleasant. With a bit of Cinnamon it can be made into something nice and shows promise in bakery recipes.

Loco Honey

Notes:

It frustrates me, it wants to taste like honey, but it turns into metallic bee poop within milliseconds from exhale. Not for me, but as with other brands, honey seems to be an impossible profile to nail properly. At least it's better than TFA Honeypiss.

Loco Brandy

Notes:

Another flavour that tastes nothing like the name (believe me I have plenty Brandy experience). Other than that, I like this flavour a lot! It has a candy feel to it. It is hard to describe, it doesn't taste like anything specific, but I get some Grape Soda vibes from it and at times a darker molasses note..maybe Iron Brew? It is really tasty either way.

Recommend to a friend: Yep

Loco Malva

Notes:

Very light Malva sponge, but unmistakably there. Looking forward to playing with this one, will combine it with same Vanilla Custard / Apricot and perhaps a nut or two. Useful flavour, maybe a little on the weak side.

Recommend to a friend: Yep

Loco Amarula

Notes:

Tastes like fermented fruit. I assume it isn't aiming to taste like the beverage, but more like the actual fruit. Not bad, but not something I think I'll find a use for.

Butterscotch

Mixed at 5%, 3% and then 9%, 60/40, 1.5mg nic. steeped 24 hours
Tested on avocado22, single 26g kanthal 6 spaced wraps and then on a goblin mini v3, dual 26g stainless both with cotton bacon.

This was a strange one for me, I really wanted to like it and tested it at 3% and 5% initially shake and vape then every day for four days. The butterscotch wasnt as sweet or as authentic as I would have liked.

Decided to go for broke and mixed it up at 9% hoping that that butterscotch flavour would break through but even though it stood up to the increase well it just really felt flat to me.

Rating 2/10.

Reccomend to a friend: absolutely not. It isn't awful by any stretch of the imagination but there are some phenomenal butterscotch flavours on the market and this just seems to be pulling up the rear of the pack. I can't think of a scenario where there isn't already a flavour leaps and bounds better than it.

Loco Passionfruit

3% mixture 70/30 3mg
Tfv8 0.38Ohm 45W

The sniff test didn't fill me with optimism, there is a faint passion fruit smell but mainly it smells like an unwashed arse. Not to disappoint, it tastes about the same.
Initial inhale there is a faint granadilla flavour but this is quickly taken over by a pungent chemical taste.
On exhale the sweetness and a bit of tartness comes through but again not in a pleasant way.
Lasted 4 drags and emptied the tank out.

The person who made this should be forced to vape it, no one else.

I run the risk being lambasted for this as it seems to be a crowd favorite, but here goes...

Creme Soda

Mixed at 3% and 5%, 60/40, 1.5mg nic.
Tested on avocado22, single 26g kanthal 6 spaced wraps and then on a goblin mini v3, dual 26g stainless both with cotton bacon.

This is a pretty authentic Creme Soda flavour. A Jannie Verjaar type creme Soda that makes me think of those squeeze and drink, mix with water concentrates you get as a kid when playing in the sand pit.

My problem is I picked up an off note in the middle of the exhale. Not a chemically note but rather snap on as though a glass of cheap squeeze and drink creme Soda had been over flavoured by a otherwise occupied mother. Once I picked that note up, I picked it up on every single exhale. Mixed it down to three percent and it persisted, as authentic as the Creme Soda is, that over flavoured note is really off putting to me.

The other thing I got, and this rings true for every other creme Soda flavour out there so isn't unique to loco, is that it's almost impossible to get rid of the flavour. Even after dry burning the coils and a fresh wick it somehow seems to creep into the next few tanks worth of flavour. Short of chucking the coils and recoiling you are stuck with Creme Soda aftershocks for the next 6ml of juice.

I will give this one a 2/5. It might very likely all be in my head but it's my head after all and I'm quite fond of what goes on in it

Recommend to a friend: ill firstly find out if they had Creme Soda or Oros in the sandpit and take it from there.

Loco Creme Soda

Notes:

Bonus note. Bought Creme Soda a week ago so not part of my test batch, but worth a review as well.

I have more experience with the flavour profile than I would like, actually tired of it now. Spent months working on recreating the local creme soda profile using International concentrates and cracked it by means of TFA Rose Candy with a few other concentrates. To me this tastes just like that, TFA Rose Candy, but not nearly as concentrated. It's Creme Soda, but not the best local version I've tried.

Recommend to a friend: Sure it's ok

Yea ....I saw ......but I would like to get all the mixers opinions in one place because I see they have amarula which did not get a great review.
I want to base my orders on the experience of the guys that received the concentrates. I unfortunately did not get amarula so if I did not follow this thread then I would have made the mistake in ordering it.

Loco Cookies and Cream

Mixed at 6% in 70/30 VG/PG 3mg nic
Tested on a Troll 2 RDA, 0.22 Ohms, 55W

Notes:

Alas, the time has come for my first negative review of the Loco flavours. I really don't know what this is supposed to taste like but I think if you give it to a 100 peeps, each one will have a different answer. I can honestly not taste anything which even closely resembles cookies or cream - neither can I taste anything that makes up cookies or cream or any of its' family. I'm not sure if this is heading towards an Oreo vibe but it is definitely a big miss. I gave this a second shot in the Troll 2 which can extract flavour from a stone found at the Cradle of Humankind but unfortunately not even a spectrometer will be able to crack this enigma.

On the plus side, I had a brief coconut exhale (once)...and the label is nice...

Loco Apple

Mixed at 5% in 70/30 VG/PG 3mg nic
Tested on a Troll V2 RDA, 0.22 Ohms, 55W

Notes:

This apple is intriguing in the sense that I cant quite put my finger on it. It has a distinct apple taste profile reminiscent of various artificial apple flavours as well as real apple...a sort of a compote of apples with no real dominating apple taking charge. I can pick up the taste from Apple Sours, kids apple juice (concentrate) and the taste from Apple rolling tobacco. It has a pleasant and familiar apple flavour which can be monotonous as an ADV but will work wonders in a pie, cheesecake, mixed fruit, etc type recipe. It will work brilliantly as a layered apple profile alongside other apple flavours, to create a fabulous full apple flavour.

@KZOR

Amarula was added based on this review by @Crockett

1. Amarula Cream - vaped at 30W
Has a rich deep creamy flavour. There's a light fruitiness on the inhale and Intriguing mix of slight bitterness mixed with sweetness like a mochaccino on the exhale.
It has a slight alcohol taste but that only makes it more reminiscent of the drink.
Would work as a stand-alone or might be nice mixed in a Dom Pedro recipe.

4 out of 5 stars.

@drew Just a thought, I see there is a reviews section on the product page. How much work would it be to attach the relevant reviews to the product so the info is there when people are shopping?

@Soutie

You read my mind, I think it's a great idea! We will need everyone's help on this though ;)

The system will only accept one star rating per product, per user. We (Valley Vapour) are seen by the system as a single user so we wouldn't be able to add multiple reviews.

It would be very helpful if beta testers could 'star rate' and copy their reviews into the review section of the product pages.

Not sure if i'm missing something here? Where do you want us to copy and paste to?
Please include link?

On each product page there is a review section below the main content ;)
