Higher coil mass means the coils require more power and take longer to ramp up, and to cool down. This results in a warmer vape.
For a cooler vape use thinner wire or fewer wraps. Also check your coil position, if they are too close to the metal chamber it will get hot.

They should settle on 0.095-0.100 (I tested on a DNA250C). Please check.

I haven’t found that the angle of wrapping the coil has any impact on performance.
Are you using the same wire brand, diameter, alloy type (A1 / Ni80 / SS) and number of cores as you did before?
If everything is exactly the same and you’re getting muted flavour then the problem is most likely...
