Thank you, good to know. Yeap :( Worth it, but not cheap.

@DougP also got one recently that he is using on his IPVD2 - he was happy in week 1, not sure how the Herakles is treating him atm. (More opinions always help, we are all different)

Once you go black, you never go back... I have the Sense Herakles & Uwell Crown in daily rotation (I suck on each of these basically 50% of the day) The Herakles was the first tank ever that made me want to swap to 3mg - and that in TC mode. The Crown is a close second on flavour, it does beat...

Zephyrus with prebuilt Ni 200 stock coils

The problem is that neither the ST Mini nor the eGo One Mega are actually very good at TC. They both mute the (inhale) flavour completely. You need to pump it up. In my case I had the ST + Ni also quite high. With a proper flavourful tank, you don't need as much. Have not tried the Z, but it is...

Zephyrus with prebuilt Ni 200 stock coils

300C? 572F? Way too high. Start at around 400F (200C) and work your way up slowly until you find what works for you. In my experience the temperature will vary from tank-type to tank-type. e.g. on my Herakles I find 420F (215C) quite agreeable, on my Crown I need to bump it to around 450F...

What has the actually lived up to the hype for you?

Lived up to the hype: Temperature Control (with a proper TC tank, i.e. no Kanger-Ni-crap or dull Joyetech defaults) Sense Herakles (Dang! Flavour! Dang!) Stainless Steel Coils (The vaping world's version of the Energizer bunny) MMM (Enough said) Has not lived up to the hype: Koopor Mini...

    VK New Arrival - Tesiyi 18650 2600MAH 40A

Brilliant, best of luck and I for one look forward to seeing comparative results. Please don't take my skepticism as wanting to see you fail, I want to see a new guy rip up the scene. The issue is just that there are a lot of new guys promising impossible feats and us as unsuspecting consumers...

    Your thoughts please....

Ok, recommending a mod, difficult. However will walk you through my observations. Background: I don't like large mods. I prefer something I can keep in my pants-pocket, conceal in my hand and that is relatively light. Never say never, but I look at things like the big-ass Smok and tell myself...

    Your thoughts please....

I have been compiling mini-reviews on a number of TC tanks. (I'm not going to comment on the Cloupor here - I don't have one and others have commented a lot about it) In short on the Herakles: IMHO the Herakles in TC is one of those that cannot be beaten. The flavour is absolutely brilliant...

    VK New Arrival - Tesiyi 18650 2600MAH 40A

Only interested in Mooch's test and will only spend money after the fact. There are reasons for this - 1. He has the biggest database of tests by now across vendors 2. He has a standardised test and process 3. He currently is the de-facto battery test source in the intl. community I appreciate...

    Tanks fit for 50W.

I use my Crown & Herakles each for 50% of the day, one for daytime, one for nighttime - they swap order almost daily. Since I got the first of the duo, I have not touched my drippers. I have banned all my other tanks to a dark drawer. It is now 4 weeks with nothing else but these 2, a new record...

    Tanks fit for 50W.

Yeap. I did mention "take with a grain of salt" and that "I do TC mostly" - first time with the coil, it is exactly one tank old. So it is new. Great advice, glad we don't differ on the "it is a completely different game" though :)

    Tanks fit for 50W.

Just swapped to the 0.5 ohm coil in my Crown & running it at 30W. Flavour is still miles better than the Subtank. It is top-fill. It will work. Trust me - if not satisfied, I'll buy it off you for original price and buy you a catch-up beer in addition. :) The 0.25 won't, but the 0.5 SS coil is...

    Tanks fit for 50W.

The bad news - a lot of the "newer" tanks like the Uwell Crown, Smok TFV4 & Sense Herakles require higher wattage mods. The reality using them on lower wattages just doesn't "do the trick". Well, you can make it work, but it is not the same. Just a couple of months ago I gave the iStick 30W's to...

Pen Style for a brand new vaper.

Let us know how it works out, it can be a bit fiddly and/or tough at the start, but well worth it. And so it starts, another one joins us on the dark side - as the saying goes, we have cookies :)

    Super Nano coils

With Brillpower I was quite surprised in the number of intl. vendors that stepped up with a "this is not good for our customers" and dumped them from sale instead of trying to make a quick buck. Customers (mostly) never do their own research, but they will believe what vendors tell them. This...

Upgrading my device... which one is best?

My late views... eVic Mini: This thing feels like a quality build. Small, quite heavy (even without the battery), upgradable. Did I mention upgradable? I got one when it came out and have upgraded the firmware twice - I bought a 60W model, I now have a 75W model. Spring-loaded connector, i.e...
