    Istick mini

I had 2, stripped the threads on both within 3 weeks. However, still liked them - 1. If you don't sub-ohm, do MTL with high-ish ohms, they fit 2. If you like tiny devices, they do fit nicely in the hand 3. Obviously doesn't last the whole day... In short - the threads could be better (i.e. 40W...

    Ego One: Retailer status

I asked the 2 retailers I buy from (not naming them here, just in-case...) the answers - Retailer #1 We will continue stocking them and have no plans not to do so Retailer #2 We will bring in stock until those "clowns" produce their letters (They just got in a new shipment of the One's + e-Vic...

    Ego One: Retailer status

There are a number of retailers that are still bringing it in - however, I know of none in CT :( As to the Nano tank sitting flush - not quite, there is a thin gap between the tank and the ego battery. (I run mine that way, I have a little cut spacer in there that prevents me from over-tightening)

    Ohm safety

The iStick 100W can fire coils between 0.15 & 5.0 ohms. You are well within limits. Danger territory would be on the very low side of the scale.

    Issues

I stand corrected :) But yes, your explanation is spot-on - it is not made to explode, but in the wrong hands things can go wrong.

    Issues

It is "stupid", but it is there for valid reasons - 1. It protects the battery 2. It protects the vaper 3. It protects the battery life 4. It protects the vaper 5. It makes sure things like venting doesn't happen 6. It protects the vaper 7. etc. 8. It protects the vaper Make no mistake - we...

    iStick TC60W

Got to play with a pre-release/sample version today, my 2 min impression.... Very nice. Longer & bulkier than the iStick 40W or e-Vic 60W, but still feels quite comfortable in the hand. (Just touched and felt, no playing/fooling around)

    iStick TC60W

For the record, I almost had them all :) 10W - stripped the 501 adapter on both 20W - stripped the 501 adapter on both 30W - gave both to the girlfriend to get her off ciggies (it worked) 40W - both are still running fine 50W - erm... auto-fire hazard... 100W - the size of the mod doesn't go...

    Should I consider Temperature Control?

@Petrus, the reality is that TC is new. Due to the fact that it is not used in cookware, there has been some uproar as to safety. As @Nick posted, there seems to be logical reasons why it could be safe. However the truth is nobody can be 100% sure either way. A lot of people, like myself, have...

    Should I consider Temperature Control?

I quite like TC. Yes, I'm in the minority here... But... I'm not vaping with either Ni & Ti until we have some conclusive yay/nay out there with regards to the health aspects. Innokin are doing Kanthal TC (or so they say), I'm guessing we will see more vendors jumping on that bandwagon soon...

    Mr. Owl RDA

lol, Indeed. I am normally better than that... or is it "I am better that than normally"?

    Mr. Owl RDA

To bring things back to the right level... I picked one up a while back via eCiggies @ R300. Steel construction, top-cap is nice and tight and seals it properly over the or-rings with no sign of slipping. Funky looking, but it actually performs it's function quite well and the top-hat does...

Kangertech Tanks - Point To Ponder

@DougP I do agree with you 100% - I have seen their quality go down a lot in the last 3 years (more or less since then I've been 100% on Kanger devices & coils). I still really like the company and for myself have learnt to live with the bad stuff I get. Chances are that the alternatives are...

    Ego One CLR Coils

100%. Nice find there, I was trying to locate the same type of pictures, but couldn't. Mystery solved.

    Ego One CLR Coils

Not sure we are speaking about the same thing. The CLR coils don't have the pinhead holes like the "normal" coils, rather they have a screw-able top that allows you to adjust the gap of the wick protruding. (Bottom picture on the Joyetech page shows the setup without the wick)...

How to wick an RDA effectively, and avoid dry hits (Scottish Roll)

Slightly more conventional horizontal build this morning on my other Velocity. It looks very fluffy. Once again just touching the desk, looks like way too much "stuff" in there, but performs as expected.

How to wick an RDA effectively, and avoid dry hits (Scottish Roll)

My Velocity, single vertical coil, Clapton, Scottish roll for today (0.52 ohms) ... 1. Coil built... 2. Looks ok after adjustments... 3. Ready to start rolling... 4. Magic happens and it is in... (just touches at the bottom) 5. And it makes clouds...

    Ego One CLR Coils

The CLR coils has adjustable airflow. You screw the little thinghy up & down to adjust the coil airflow, so there is no reason the 1.0's would not work on a 0.3 build. EDIT: Since I only have 0.5's, I cannot be 100%, but I believe the 1.0's are exactly the same, just the supplied coil differs.

    Ego One CLR Coils

I only have the 0.5 CLRs :) However, apart from the resistance, they should be exactly the same. All the eGo One coils are compatible with all the tanks, i.e. eGo One, eGo One Mini, eGo One Mega. The only difference between the tanks are the juice capacity and size, the coils are exactly the...
