I have had numerous issues with the OCC TC coils on a number of devices - DNA, iStick, eVic... and my issues have been very similar to what you describe (And if you look on the internet, I'm not the only one.)
I would suggest trying a different coil first, in my experience of 3 x 5-packs of Ni...
First try, single coil at 1.34 ohm on a Velocity Clone, only the little holes open.
Also seem to have ended up with slightly less cotton than the video, next rounds will be better...
Hit #10 could feel the flavour starting to going down.
Hit #14 definitely getting to the dry side.
Hit #17 says...
Valid question, I'm in the same boat...
I have been steering clear of a lot of the new tanks, afraid that I may actually like them and then be stuck up the creek without a paddle in a short while. Have been looking at the Zephyrus, Herkales, Starre and even SMOK TFV4... and skipping... :(
I...
Ummm... was actually looking at these last night.
How does the size (length, diameter) compare to the eGo One batteries? Need to make a move either way here. (Subtank Nano + 1.2/1.5 ohm + eGo ONE batteries the current go-to setup - I love mini/swallow-in-the-hand stuff)
I understand and can get behind it.
Do you have CNC manufacturing contacts? (From a previous life used to do this a bit, small runs had at least a $400 setup cost - but these weren't local.)
They are available at xxx. (There is also the smaller -MS version, don't see those online anywhere.)
I have a couple of them (i.e. 2), they really have quite a restrictive draw even with all the holes open. Actually quite like them, in both TC and non-TC mode. They use the same coils as the GS...
Good idea. The challenge is that not all 'types' are applicable to 'all people'.
i.e. this came up in a squonkers thread, which is of little to no interest to me. However, do a tube-style mech mod and I'm first in-line. Others may/will prefer a dual battery box type of affair. Different strokes...
Indeed. As @Andre said, just adjust to taste. I've been running both ways.
The biggest issue I have with TC is that some setups and/or coils can make the 'intake-flavour' almost non-existent. I know it has been disappointing for a couple. But you need to play and be patient until you find what...
Just be cautious on the OCC Ni coils. When they work, they are brilliant, when they don't or lose connection or have serious jumping ohms they are not... Same setup, also tried them on the iStick 40W TC, mixed success. (It seems the quality control on these coils are not what they are supposed...
Interesting. Seems to be aimed at girls-only, hence the colours. Well, this boy loves smaller vaping things, but maybe not in those colours.
However, on their product pages, they do have a pic of a black version alongside the purple/pink as well. Not available anywhere though (yet)...
Checking in.
eVic + Ni or iStick + GS Tank (Ni)
but never STM + OCC Ni coils. (2 working out of a pack of 5 is a very low hitrate IMHO - that was my experience, 3 duds, crappy connections, etc. You've heard all the horror stories elsewhere already.)
Well, may as well... And since helpful responses always points to 'please introduce yourself', I'll do that first.
Started vaping around 2008, some Twisp device (got me off stinkies after around 6 months of dual-use - I never really wanted to stop smoking, it just allowed me to smoke in my...
