With device and battery voltage drop, and the fact that the battery rating is continous and can stand more on pulse it's fine, it is pushing the limits though and wouldn't suggest building around there for someone new

Looking for a cheap squonker in JHB north region that will take 24mm - pico squeeze is out.
Something like the coppervape, only see it listed in Limpopo
Want to test out squonking for a short while before committing to something like the Drone
Price - around R500

Most likely the minimal resistance change is being picked up as a non tc coil.
Try another build at around .5 ohm and see

One thing I've noticed, low resistance builds are dicey with tc, even on a DNA, as the changes are less noticeable.

Out of what you have use the plain kanthal, SS or nichrome dual coil, around 7 wraps on a 3mm is roughly what I'd do.
Twisted, and claptons I find the ramp up long on a mech, Nickel is mainly for temp and very low resistance

I personally don't care for labelling a product as HE or not.
If it is good value for money then I'll buy it, be it a Pico, BB, SM or ESG.

One other thing not mentioned yet.
if changing atomizers, make sure you are using an atomizer with a protruding, non-floating 510 pin.
Vaping Bogan just put up a good basics on Mech's on YouTube -
0.2 is perfect on a tube, take into consideration that you don't get 4.2v due to voltage drop on the device as well.
Lowest I run down to 0.18 on LG HG2, which is also 20A CDR.
If the batteries are getting hot, the contact switch and tube will most likely get hot, then slow down/stop vaping on...
In terms of getting to the right wattage range, I start with setting the mod at 3.7v (you should be able to see voltage when adjusting wattage), when dry firing if the coils heat up too fast you're too high, too slow and you're too low.
Generally std round coils work well from 3 to 4.5v, bigger...
