Mine also takes a while to start jumping out off TC. I think it has something to do with the constant heating and cooling of the coils.
But I could be wrong, I just know it works for me.
Also using a Billow by the way.
I have found with my evic VT when it sometimes jumps out temp mode something is not fastened properly, atomizer or maybe check the post screws. I think that sometimes the heating up of the coils may have something to do with it. Temp control must have a good solid connection for it to work...

I don't have the VTC mini, got the normal VT, but I really like the bypass mode don't know why, but I do. Think enough to consider getting one. Plus the firmware upgrade is pretty cool too, will keep you current for longer.

I don't have any experience with the nickle coils as I prefer Titanium, but I am sure someone will be able to give you...
@MorneW Rip Trippers just posted a vid about the Bellus RTA, he compares it to the Aromamizer. Explains the difference between the two, pros, cons, ect..
Thats strange...maybe try and get a tube like thingy, thats longer than the tank, that will fit inside the tank and while holding the glass section lightly tap the tube thingy and see if it budges.
