Thanx method1, saved me some future disappointment there. I got the same for Loop Ninja, exactly to the point that I'd only need to copy/paste your above results for a review.
Rather stick with the 0.5's. The 0.3 coils are a bit underwhelming below 50W. Too thick gauge IMO. Not amused overall, even when pushing over 50W. Currently just going through my 0.3 pack to finish them and rebuild for nickel instead.
Keep it simple. If you like a TC challenge , then get a something like the Billow that has a small dual coil deck or like I initially did, a Zephyrus[emoji33] . For better starting results in a tank, get something that allows for big single coils. For ADV TC tank duty I don't bother with tiny...
Still, that latest version of the DNA40 that the VT40 is using performs REALLY well with thinner gauge TC coils like the OCC TSC's and gives a much smoother vape than my SXmini on commercial coils. I find the SXMini more suited to sub 0.1 Ohm builds, thicker gauges and RDA duty and the DNA40...
Now we're talking, but price point will be critical if it wants to compete against the other dna200 mods coming out. I think VT40 failed in that regard.
!@$#!$%
So got a black subtank (via new subox kit :D) to match the Vaporshark, put in an OCC TSC coil, and all was fine for 2 days....till I adjusted the airflow and all hell broke loose with the ohms readings. Almost thought I had a dud DNA40, but I cleaned and dried it thoroughly and tried...
Lol, Charts like that don't take build into consideration, so pretty useless as some higher watt builds will barely even start producing vapor a 20Watts.
On a more serious note, now one can see why temp sensing is becoming more important, because apart from limiting dry hits, one can also limit...
Lol, it's definitely is an acquired taste, but I'm getting tired of the endless incoming stream of boring big boxes. Still busy weighing up the pros and cons.
PS: The DIY kit is going for $170: https://gingervaper.com/product/boxer-mod-150w-diy-kit-with-yihi-sx350j-temperature-control-chip/...
Currently the top dual battery TC that's teasing the crap out of me is the 150W Boxer SX350J Mod. Light and compact. I'll wait for the hype to settle before I commit to a DNA200.
