In the end vaping is all about testing juices till you find the flavour that works for you. If i was you I would look at getting high VG juices like 80vg/20pg or 70vg/30pg and see if that makes a difference. Water usually does help but PG irritations are also a common thing, either they subside...

Do you still have the charging balance board in the device? If you do I would suspect it would be that, maybe some juice got on the board and its shorting it out slowly?

I'm using 28awg SS 316L around a 2mm dia screw driver and running it in temp control and runs like a bomb. Get between 0.6 and 0.8ohm... great vape...
