I cut the wicks shorter but the bubbles seem trapped by the slots... Does that make sense? And I switched the juice to 50/50

I am using normal Japanese cotton pads, peeled... I will try to shorten the wicks... And keep you posted. Any reason as to why the bubbles not rising?
