I have both and V1 is definitely better... It has a richer caramel and tobacco taste and the V2 kinda feels a bit thin in comparison. I still like V2 but you need to up the strength a bit... I've seen people using V2 at about 33% extra strength compared to V1 so a recipe that calls for 6% V1...
