First, and I'm not assuming anything but I'll say it anyway, the SubTanks aren't designed for high power vaping - around 15-35W is the sweet spot. That said, the original model was a bit bad with higher VG juices, 70VG and up and it struggled to keep up with wicking - especially when using the...

That is a very wise assumption - and 100% on the nose. I'd even go so far as to say it's a "quite-a-bit" better purchase ;)

It is definitely not supposed to scratch your throat - that's not a pleasant vape at all. If this happens with multiple juices (as it appears to do for you) then perhaps the coil is not wicking properly - how is the flavour, does it taste burnt? Another reason might be that the coil wasn't...

I'm with you on that last bit too. While I mostly enjoy throwing shit together and experimenting, I would like to have a nice "fallback" that tastes good and can be mixed up in a flash - like fast food ;)
