Anyone know any good fly fishing spots to try near Sandton?
Footloose is the closest I know but seen some bad reviews lately and probably been there 20 times already. No one in my crew ever caught anything there.
Saw a few kids catch catch carp with the hired rods and in-house bait a few years...
R679 for a starter kit from Solly's in Fourways Crossing (18-Jan-2017).
Just for anyone else that is interested in getting started at a good price. Quite a nice 3 piece, 8 foot starter kit with everything needed and 5 or 6 flies and instruction manual too to to give you tips to get started...
Cool, something better than nothing, even if they small. I just like the thrill off it. Even on the beach when tobies (puffer fish) are biting and everyone leaves, I switch to tiny rod to make them feel much bigger and keep on pulling them out.
Thanks for the motivation. are you catching fish in your escapades. I watched the guys all day at Brookwood Trout farm last week with the flies while I was waiting hopelessly for carp and barbel. So much fish in the water and and the guys were landing there flies right on them but no one took...
The cheapest kit at Mia's now is R1,600. It's a stealth kit, whatever that means to those who know.
Discount Cash & Carry has a kit for R1,700 but no stock. I got most of my carp and barbel gear from them at the best prices I could find years ago. It's also where I bought my Fly reel cheap...
And a year later, I'm in exactly the same boat.
Mind you, I had bought a rod and a reel already years ago but the price of the lines put me off. The rod tip had since broke. Last month my sis bought my nephew a full kit for R400 from Sollies in Fourways (rod, line, line, flies) so it got my...
Um, no. I had a Clearo, only single device at that time for a grand. Then they released the new Clearo where you could get 2 for a grand and from no kiosk having stock to contacting head office and the warehouse, their solutions a month later was to buy the new Clearo which I dod like the...
Reminds me of this Lexus LFA supercar. Limited to 500 and each handmade. The epitome of Lexus's ingenuity and technology. A true beauty and a beast of a car at R5mil and no one can deny that plus that is actually what it cost Lexus to make that car. There is not a markup but it was purely to...
My wife hated, hateeeeeed, HATED when I smoked and gave me a hard time and nagged the hell out of me until I eventually changed to vaping.
Now she says I should go back to smoking since I spend so much time and money on vaping. :BangsHeads:
Yip, it's surprising how fast the goods get to SA. I've seen the next day on a few orders but then customs and our post office surprise me even more by how long they could take and how many times they could send a parcel to a post office 5min away from me "incorrectly" and then send it back to...
Just order stuff you're not in a hurry for.
Things like batteries that you know you're still good but will need to replace in 6 months because that's about how long batteries take since they can only ship them by sea but at the 3rd the price, it's well worth it.
Then things like certain types...
@Jakey, that junk doesn't mean the coil is fried. I think it's the juice you're using that junks up fast. I found some juices, mostly clear fruit types will show a clear coils 2 weeks in with the same wick but the flavour will start to drop around this time. The darker juicy, especially desert...
On a very serious note, I suggest you advertise this on Gumtree and Junkmail so you actually get it sold. I sold my Twisps on Gumtree in 2 days at a good ptice after advertising here or a month at a very reduced price.
Reason being is the members on the forum know you can get so much better for...
BTW, I see this is on the Sir Vape subforum and my comments are in no way directed at Sir Vape. I have seen much worse pricing on other sites. I think this thread should be moved to a more general forum. It's just coincidence that the OP happened to pick that particular product at Sir Vape.
Well I think there is that market but the OP and I are not part of that market. I heard prices of R9 per dual coil and then thought I might as well kust buy them than go through the hassle of building. This is a little more than what I used to pay for Protank and Aspire coils back in the day...
