Been to 170w once, can't remember how scary it was, so gonna try it again after work, when I can pass out in the safety of my own lounge...
I'm loving it so far. You are right on it being much easier to work with than the Goblin, coiling wicking, filling, all improved. It's very thirsty, which...
How high is high? Had mine on 35w constantly and no issues, but that's not really high?
I build my Goblin with 2.4mm coils, 26g 10wraps, maybe you should try that, it's a little tight, but some guys like that...
Also on the Goblin, it's not leak proof, I'm not sure why you guys even say that...
I posted my experience with the setup, because it's difficult to compare from memory, more so if anything other than just the coil changes, eg the juice, but I'll try to elaborate more, just can't guarantee the accuracy of my "findings".
I haven't gotten around to trying a plain 24g build...
Im writing this while upping the watts, so if it seems strangley written it's Probs coz I'm imitating you. At 30w it takes a bit to ramp up and the flavour is decent, vapour production is good. It really shines at 50w, flavour is strong and vapour production is great, obviously ramp up is a non...
First attempt at Clapton's, definitly needs more work, really not the easiest of coils to work with, but vapes like a dream.
ID: 2.0mm - 28g Claptoned with 32g - Dual Clapton - 6 Wraps - 0.54Ohm
If you just want to play with a RDA to see how you would enjoy building coils I would suggest grabbing something that's on special at your "local" vape shop.
I agree with @WHeunis simple post designs, but would like to add, make sure it has post holes, they make life a lot easier when you start...
It's amazing for vapour production, but definitely needs a twin on the other side to get a real comparison to the "plain" twisted wire coils I had in the Dark Horse before.
Flavour seems pretty good, but it's not really the atty's strong suit, though at 70w everything tastes amazing :party...
