I have recently also brought some of the stuff in my bottom drawer out for operation again and must say that some are very much comparable.
The advantage of most commercial coils are the horizontal build with bottom airflow passing over the entire coil in equal amounts. This is not entirely...
Yup, most all Smok tanks these days have rebuildable options. It's certainly not a bad choice and I hear most owners are happy with theirs.

The lips on fire could be a couple things. But rest assured we do all find our...
Don't know if this has been discussed before, if so feel free to point me there.
How many of our local mixologist simply use big name recipes and rebrand them as their own creations. Recently tasted two big local brands thats either adaptations or direct clones using Diyordie's and...
Remember that the Minikin V2 does not have passthrough where you can vape and charge simultaneously. It does have balance charging at 1A which takes about 8 hours to charge your batteries to full capacity.
Commercial coils should be where you start. Look for an atlantis coil compatible Sub Ohm Tank that has an Rebuildable deck option. This provides the most flexibility in choice of coils from Kanthal, Claptons, Stainless, Ceramic etc etc. Mouth to lung and direct inhale. And the option to grow...
@SAVapeGear Thanks for the comparison feedback there, very valuable for us fence sitters ;).
Do you know if the SE-1 SS coils still uses the nickel leads like the V1 and what type of flavour did you use in testing the SE-1?
So just for fun (and lots of frustration) tonight I thought I'd give this a try.
It's a dual parallel spaced 26G SS316L 2.5mm ID coming in at 0.22 Ohm and running at 45W. Wicking is Cotton Bacon V2.
The objective was to pit the Serpent against my Crown V1 (the original flavour beast) in a head...
Ni80 is an alloy usually 80% Nickel and 20% Chromium and called NiChrome. Not intended for temperature control.
Ni200 is a 99.6% pure wrought nickel alloy and the wire that temperature control is founded upon. It has a very predictable resistance curve. Only to be used with temperature control...
I find that simple build unspaced coils 3mm ID around 0.5 Ohm and 30W, tight'ish wick, produce nice flavour on deserts. Gunk's up rather rapidly aswell. Worth a try.
Know it's been a few...
SM25 with SS isn't bad for Temperature control.
Also check the Geekvape Illusion mini. Simular single coil build deck to the Serpent but with comedian (WTF - Various) coil options.
If you really want the best TC experience, I would recommend something like the Crown V1...
