yeah, your coil choice will determine how much power is "taken" from the battery. It is not quite a mech because there are some protections built in, so as long as you keep your coil choices reasonable you should not have an issue. I would say nothing below 0.3 but better around 0.5/6
Way back in the day I had similar problem. I think you are having the same. Try using less, not more.
I was smothering the flavour by having too much of the predominant flavour. 6% is heavy for a single flavour.
Also not a sweet fan but found sour to lift up the citrus flavours.
