Acrohm FUSH Semi Mech Mod

Help needed please, o Wise Ones.

Picked up an Acrohm Fush Semi Mech. Not turning on at all.
Guy I got it from said it just flashed red, then he opened it up to see if he can find the short. now nothing is working.

Anybody able to assist or talk a guy through an attempt at repairing?

Recommendations to repairers will also be welcome.
