Hey guys

I'm new here and need some advice.

I have been vaping on the Ego AIO for the last 2 months. (Great for its price btw).
i feel the need to upgrade to something with an RBA deck and a wattage controlled mod.
The topbox mini kit is in my price range.

I have heard conflicting opinions on the toptank that comes with the kit though. Apparently it leaks like anything. There are hacks and tricks to stop this but not everyone seems to have a good experience. The mod looks like a beast for its price range but the leakage issues with the tank bother me.

Anyone got any experience with this tank or kit?
Any better options in the R1200 range?

Thanks guys

Hi bud have you had a look at the istick pico kit with the mello 3 tank?
The pico is a awesome mod and apparently the mello 3 with a ccell coil is the bees knees.

O yea and it only costs R800 then battery R170 and ccell coil around R70 so you will still have change :)

Thanks for the quick reply. It doesn't look like the included tank has the feature to build your own coils. It just seems cheaper in the long run to build coils.

You can buy an RBA (rebuildable) unit separately, between R60 and R80.

It is cheaper to build your own coils but the ccell coil lasts much longer than normal coils. @Rob Fisher has experienced 120 fills on one ccell coil. The ccell coil is also the best flavour you will get from any production coil.
You can always buy another tank at a later stage (im not sure if the melo has any sort of rba coil you can purchase)

Having tried the Pico I was very impressed by the build quality and then secondly the vape, even on the stock coils vapour and flavour were very good.
Just to add to what Clouds4days said, get the one with the Melo III mini tank, the Melo III 4ml has issues.

@Gouwsie If I may just explain the leaking with the Kanger Toptank. With brand new coils the leakage is minuscule even when the tank is laid down, after a couple of weeks and depending on the juice it will start to leak. The leaks in the main are caused by the cotton becoming a little 'gunked' up, changing the coil with a new one alleviates the problem.
Now if you are using the RBA head you will be able to just change the cotton.

Thanks to all of you for such quick advice will definitely have a look at all the options you guys have suggested.
Doesn't look like my local vape shop has the ceramic coils for the melo3 but I can order if need be.

@DaveH apparently sealing the airflow holes when filling also helps. Any experience with that?

Remeber you need to get the vaporesso ccell 0.9 ohm ceramic coils. I know good batches can be found at sir vape and vape cartel. Im sure ther is others but these are the two i know of.

I have tried that using a thumb and finger to block the airflow holes - still leaks after an hour or so, also tried putting some cotton in the base - helps until the cotton is saturated then it leaks. Always (for me) changing the coil stops the leakage.
So long as you keep the tank upright it is not that bad. I use to carry them around in the car laid down in a case with some tissue to soak up any juice, it didn't stop me taking them out with me.

In a word YES, when the cotton is new it seems as if can hold the juice better.
