So coming from a Twisp I am use to the vapor being cold when taking a hit so I am not sure if I am doing it wrong or if I just have to get use to the heat?

What are your settings?

Can relate to that, also depends on your resistance I guess? Some flavours are better cold, others warm...better to start off like @Dubz advised.

Thats very high. Try 3.6 to 3.8 to begin with. And then slowly move up to find your sweet spot.

What setup are you using? What tank? What mod? What coil in ohms?

I find that on my 15W SVD, 13w is starting to get warm and usually keep it in the 11-12 region.
My son rocked up with the iStick 40w running at 35W and it choked me, even at 30W. It just feels disgusting like someone breathing hot stinky air down your throat.

*sigh* must have had CPR in a previous life. :)

I personally wouldn't go above 15W on that setup/coil. Usually I stick to around 4 to 4.4V on VV devices.

@wiesbang , Press that square fire button 3 times in succession to toggle between Variable Wattage (power) and Variable Voltage mode.
Set it to Power mode, and then change it to around 8 W. Take a toot or two, and see if you go up in 1, 2 or 3 watt increments to where it is just perfect for you. Fire and forget...
You can go down to 5W on the iStick 30, but that might be a bit too low.
If you press the up and down arrow buttons at the same time for 2 or 3 seconds, I think it should lock/unlock the adjustment buttons as well. Locking it should stop you from accidentally changing the power.
Most mods will switch on and off (or at least lock) by pressing the fire button 5 times in quick succession.

When adjusting power, always start low and work your way up. The benefit of using power mode is that any atomizer should provide roughly the same flavor and vapor on the same power setting, no matter what resistance the coil is. It should be the same style vape too when you move the atty between devices and dial in the same power settings on the new mod.
Without getting too technical about lower coil resistances and mod limits, this holds true in general.
