Hi guys,
I've had my billow for a few weeks now and it's been perfect until now.
Last night I tried to fill it up and I can't unscrew the middle piece without it unscrewing the glass (sorry if it's hard to understand, not sure how to describe it)
Attached is the photo, I can't seem to unscrew that middle section.
I put this coil in last week and haven't re-wicked since and it's been perfect to refill until now.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to unscrew it? (The part just above the air flow)
Thanks in advance

Calling @Rowan Francis

This man can unscrew ANYTHING... I had the same issue with mine, now its as smooth as butter.

HEAT!!! :D

I don't know the Billow too well, but it looks slightly similar to the Lemo V.1 that I have and often 1 part will get stuck and I can't unscrew them.
Run your hot water tap till it's at top heat, place the atty in a bowl or something and fill the bowl with hot water.
(Take off any O-Rings you may be worried about melting etc)

A minute or 2 with hot water, quickly drain, shake off and dry with a dishtowel. (if needed, though the heat should evaporate most water)
Then just get good grip with your fingers and they should easily come apart.

When putting your RTA together, try not to tighten anything beyond "flush".
As using the RTA after will obviously coat it in a lubricant (Juice) and heat from the coil,
causing expansion of the metal and then further tightening all parts when you leave the RTA for a while and it cools.
(Causing metal to then contract)

Never needed more than hot water and some chef's fingers personally.
Do be careful though, them buggers can get hot!!!
P.S. Depending on the quality of the parts and machining, some can be quite sharp if you slip.
(My Lemo has cut me more than once trying to unscrew parts and my fingers slipping)

Good luck and I'm sure you'll come right!

I have been able to unlock the most stuck atties using latex surgical gloves, that I couldn't even pry apart with pliers. Just place the tank in the palm of the glove (no need to put it over your hand) and twist. Works like a charm every time.
Any rubber glove should work, as Shaun also mentioned. It has a very good grip.

@shaunnadan That's an awesome suggestion. Thanks, will give it a try. Been using my leatherman as well.

Hi @ChadB

I agree with @shaunnadan and @Redeemer. I now have one of those yellow dishwashing plastic gloves near my vape station.

Also, Not sure if this will help you but i have noticed on my Lemo1 that sometimes the chimney section is so tight and difficult to unscrew. No matter how much I try to grip it firmly and twist, it doesnt open. But when i grip it lightly it usually unscrews quite easily. And with the rubber gloves, it helps to be able to grip it lightly and yet still twist. Maybe it has something to do with the threads. Not sure, but this has always worked for me.

@Andre @Silver @Redeemer Thanks very much for your help. Luckily I managed to unscrew it now using latex gloves it came off super easily.
I'm going to change my O-rings now and would like to know the best way to do it? Should I lubricate them a little with some joose?

Again, thanks to all of you legends for your help, it is immensely appreciated.

For next time (if it happens again - and I hope not), take a rubber band and wrap it multiple times over the part you want to remove then try again - worked a treat on many tanks especially my old Aerotank v2!

Yup. Lube seals with juice and remember you don't have to turn it super tight. Just enough to seal.

So it seems me and the Billow aren't getting along at the moment....
Took the o-rings off and put new ones on, everything went will except when I screwed the tank on, there's this gap between the 2 parts... Tried for a bit to fix it but it won't budge.
Also tried a twisted 26g kanthel on it for the first time, it came down to 0.2 and then when I wicked it and everything it fires at 0.1 which the iStick 50w can't handle.
Attached is the photo of the o-ring problem, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

That WAAAY off there bud, should be much tighter. Perhaps strip, and reassemble from scratch?
Here is a pic I just took of mine, on an iStick..

Got it all to work, it's as smooth as butter now and back to normal.
Thanks again for all your input. Enjoy your evening

Well done @ChadB
