Looking for low resistance brass spring. About the size you find in a bic click pen. Key is: must be very low resistance. Bic pen's spring has a slight resistance, and thus acts as a second coil in the circuit of a mech.

I tried that, but the transformer wire I have is not springy enough.
The spring is in the fire switch of my Just GG. Original was lost in a club :-(

Transformer wire is copper, you need brass or stainless steel wire, the latter you can get in different diameters from guys doing tic welding.

Awesome! Thanks. Will look at alert steel tomorrow. Just to make sure, brass will obviously be better due to the lower ohms. I don't think it will cause voltage drop, however due to eddy currents, the spring does get hot, which heats up the fire button

Brass better conductor than stainless steel and hence less eddy currents, but if you keep total length as short as possible it should be negligible.
