Hi All
So my Cuboid is a month old and i was lying on the couch like a Vrot aartapel and vaping when I head a buzzing noice coming from my cuboid, after some investigation i found that the bussing noice only appears when the screen is on.
Is this normal or should I scrap it?

Depends how loud the buzzing is

My Sig100 also makes a light buzzing noise when the screen comes on when you press any button. And I was advised that is normal. It's very soft you have to put your ear near the device to hear it.

That exactly the case with mine.
Thank You.
I just wanted to make sure as I do not want to be a youtube video where the mod explodes in my pants

Well I don't think it will explode and I doubt you have a problem with the cuboid. I could be wrong but I think it's normal.

Let me go check mine for you...

Mine does the same. If I hold it to my ear like a cellphone it had a high pitched electronic buzz and a feint ticking sound. My gosh. It does sound like a time bomb. Hehe. Even after the screen goes off it still makes that noise for about 2 minutes. Then it stops

I wouldn't worry. Probably just the circuitry inside doing it's thing

Thank You AGAIN!
Rather safe than a stat

Well don't take my word for it entirely @RiaanRed. I haven't opened up the cuboid to check what's going on in there. I just believe that it's normal. But that is my belief ;-)

If there is a timer and a little bomb in there we will likely be a stat together...

My eVic VT did the same, it had a noticeable buzz for exactly five minutes after a button had been pressed. After 5 minutes of inactivity the device would go back to sleep and the snoring stopped.

Add to that my Nitecore i2 hums too.

I believe @ShaneW had a similar issue with an "iTick" 40w

So yeah, it's fairly common with electronic devices and nothing to be concerned about, statistically speaking of course ;)

Thank You @BumbleBee
I see you even have the buzzzzzz in your signature? Lol

Buzzing from electronic circuits is quite common and usually caused by an inductor... Nothing to be concerned about at all. Most mods would have fairly large inductors inside them

Mine would buzz to . indicating its on. Then I started switching it off when not in use. and seemed to gain longer battery life then leaving it in a sleep mode
