Aesthetics and Ergonomics
The iStick Amnis Kit comes in the usual Eleaf packaging with the colour of the device pictured on the box being the colour of the device inside the box. I received the Purple version, it's also available in Black, Green, Red, Silver and Blue, the colours look very vibrant. Every month i get a device i can say is the smallest device i have seen and the trend continues the iStick Amnis isn't just tiny it's microscopic, it's also as light as a feather. The top, front and base are Black plastic while the ergonomic curved spine and sides are some other material (not sure what but very light) which is coated with a rubberised finish, the finish looks superb and feels very nice. The front of the device is also curved inwards towards the middle so the sides are also curved to the contours of the front. The spine has a small venting hole near the top, one side is featureless while the other has printed branding. The front has a nice curved elongated fire button at the top and at the bottom is a tiny LED, the rest of the plastic on the front has a grooved effect. The base has etched safety stamps and the micro USB port, up top we have a air fed 510 plate with Gold plated, spring loaded 510. It doesn't matter how small your pockets are this will fit no problem.

GS Drive Overview
The GS Drive tank is a little 16.5mm diameter tank with a capacity of 2ml, it allows for both an airy MTL and restricted DL vape. The Kit comes with the new GS Air mesh coil (more of a Notch coil) which is 0.35ohm and a 0.75ohm coil but there are plenty of other GS Air coils available including a couple which are strictly MTL. The coils screw straight into the base and the airflow is dual cyclops, both coils i found i could DL but also MTL with the airflow closed down most of the way but the mesh coil was far for suited for a DL vape. The GS Drive has a childproof lock mechanism on the slide open top-cap which takes both hands to open. There is a button on the side of the top-cap that needs to be pushed in, while the button is depressed you need to use another finger to push the top-cap at the front (it is marked by an arrow), once open it reveals a juice filling port. The only other thing to mention is it's a propriety drip tip so you are stuck with the one supplied.
iStick Amnis Specs and Features:
Size: 24 x 18 x 71mm
Battery Capacity: Built-in 900mAh
Max Wattage: 30W

Using the iStick Amnis
The device is a Direct output device which will only allow a max output of 30W. The device is the usual 5 clicks to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off and that's it, there's no screen or menu system simply press the fire button and vape. The device has very good battery indication which is shown by a little LED lighting different colours which is positioned on the front of the device towards the bottom. When the light is Green the battery life is between 100% and 60%, when it lights Orange it's between 59% and 30%, when it lights Purple it's between 29% and 10% and when the battery is below 10% it lights Red. The device also comes with all the safety features you would expect which are Over charge protection, Over discharge protection, Over current protection, Over vape protection and Short circuit protection.

My Experience using the iStick Amnis
This is a kit i have had for a couple of weeks using it when i go up town really trying to work it out as i find the specs a bit confusing so i have been trying to work out what the deal is. As far as i can find out it's a direct output device yet it has a max wattage of 30w yet one of the supplied coils is a 0.35ohm. Now normally i would come to the conclusion the wattage cap simply is in operation during the entire battery life while using this coil apart from it's rated at between 15w and 25w and when using the coil it only seemed around the 20w mark , although i didn't notice any major drop off with this coil so i'm not sure if the battery is lower voltage than 4.2 or what. I also tried a quite long peried of chain vaping with the 0.35ohm coil (it wicks really well) and the tiny device barely got warm. I did think that maybe the direct output was a mistake and it is actually a lower constant output until i used the 0.75 coil which i noticed a definite weakening in power as the battery life started to get low.
Anyway the more important thing is how did it vape? i found the 0.35ohm mesh coil full of flavour, we are not talking blow me away flavour but it was very good indeed also what ever the deal is with the battery it gave a constant vape with very little drop off and although it only felt about 20w it gave a fair amount of vapor production. I found the 0.75 coil didn't give as good flavour with the airflow wide open using for a DL hit but the flavour improved closing the airflow down and using it MTL although it's not tight it's more of a loose MTL. I found with both coils it didn't matter how i had the airflow it felt very smooth, a really nice little vape.
Final thoughts
It's a very pocket friendly grab and go device giving the option of DL or an airy MTL vape, flavours good especially with the mesh coil and it only takes an hour to charge. Although the 900mAh battery lasted better than i thought it still isn't great battery life by any means, as a popping out for a few hours device it's fine but if someone wanted this as their main device they really would need more than one.
Pros
Very pocket friendly
Very ergonomic
Looks nice
Comes in good colour choices
Easy to use
Very nice rubberised finish
Plenty of GS Air coils available DL & MTL
GS Drive restricted lung hit or loose mouth to lung vape
Top-fill
Childproof lock mechanism
Great price
Cons
Not suitable for high wattage vapers
Non adjustable
Propriety drip tip
Direct output Weakens in power (only really noticed with 0.75ohm coil)
Battery life not the best
I would once again like to thank Eleaf for supplying the iStick Amnis Starter Kit for the purpose of this review.
