I have two Eleaf mods with their own tanks for nearly two years now.
Mod no.1 has suddenly showed this message after every vape. Vape once OK, vape again, this message, vape again, OK. and so on.
Mod no.2 I removed the dead battery and fitted a battery holder on the side connected to the
wiring that went to the original battery. Testing it with a 3.7v 3000mah LG battery it fired up
but the protection message appeared here too.
Someone said the inner electronics are like a PC and switching it off often solved the problem.
Five taps on the button switched it off but now I cannot even switch it back on.
I can accept and can try various things to discover the problem but same problem on both mods
with different tanks leaves me stumped.
Time to bury both mods?

Just did a quick check and it seems those mods give a lot of problems. They stop charging, stop working and even saw a few posts where people say the chip burnt out. I would say it's time to upgrade as I think those mods came close or to their ends. From here on, they might even get dangerous. Catching fire and so on. Not trying to scare you, just what I read on some posts on reddit.

Thanks for this informative but depressing news. I do have a Topbox mini so will have to stick with it.

I have since discovered that by laying the mod upside down I can vape continuously without getting that
protection message. I'd love to know why.

I am no expert mate, but probably a good idea to upgrade and not tempt fate with dodgy mods. I have been running the I stick 30w for a year with no problems but I think everything has a shelf life and these are older devices. Look on the bright side, there is fantastic gear available at the moment that is a huge improvement on your current set up. Hope you come right.

"Intermittent" is an understatement. My original post states that vape once, protection message next, vape again, message again and so on ans so on.
That sequence makes for a very strange intermittent fault.
