I have noticed that the Europe's stand on vaping has started to take place in full force.

  • 1. Restriction of e-cigarette tanks must be no more than 2ml.
  • 2. The sale of e-liquids will be restricted to 10ml.
  • 3. The strength of nicotine in e-liquids will be restricted to no more than 20mg/ml.
  • 4. Packaging for nicotine-containing products must be child-resistant and tamper evident.
  • 5. Certain ingredients including colourings, caffeine and taurine are banned.
  • 6. New labeling requirements and warnings must be in place.
  • 7. All e-cigarettes and e-liquids must be notified to heath regulators before they can be sold.
I am confused on why there is 2ml capacity and 10ml's of e-liquid. I cant logically think of a totally valid reason as to why.

You should survive on 20mg @Silver, if I were you I'd be more concerned about where you're going to find 2ml bottles for Thumper ;)

I know I will survive on 20mg Bee, but that whole limiting of the max nic level worries me. And it worries me if they make it lower and lower.

I mean, guys are making juice at 1.5mg !!

I think I would need a Bugatti Veyron to run 1.5mg - hehe :D

I'm totally not ready for 1.5mg, at that level you'd need at least 2ml per hit and yes, a pretty powerful device to make it work. 3mg on a V8 coil at 180W just feels like air to me so that Veyron V16 will be the bare minimum.

I can see how some of these TPD regs could make sense. Take the iCare for example, 1.6mls of 18mg goes a very long way in that device. What doesn't make sense to me are the stupid warning labels on hardware stating that they contain nicotine, that's just plain black and white false advertising as no hardware contains nic.

I don't think there are any restrictions on nic, regulations seem entirely unconcerned about DIY. Even the FDA doesn't have anything that limits DIYers in their regs. If they allow 20mg juice, they must allow higher than 20mg base nic. So I would guess 36 or 72mg nic will continue to be the norm for DIYers in the EU.

Thank heavens for that @RichJB
One day in the distant future I may have to come visit you and if I need a few drops of an obscure flavour and some extra potent nic I trust you will help me out... :)
