Hozit guys,

So i recently got gifted a Aspire Halo/Gusto with about 10 empty pods.

I know that one can refill them which i have done successfully.

Now my question is, has someone been able to remove and rewick the coil? Successfully?

I came across a thread online where the guy says he has done this but does not provide any pictures.

Pictures here, https://www.fasttech.com/forums/vapers/t/2590398/aspire-gusto-mini/1

It seems the coil is held in place only by O rings?

if I can get my hands on an empty one i can try to rebuild it, have been successful in rebuilding quite a number of commercial coils (Kanger, Eleaf, Smok, Twisp, Wake etc)

Ill probably take one and break it in order to figure out how to get the coil out. Once its out im sure it will be possible.

From the bottom, the one part pulls out and you are able to see the very thin coil inside with the wires coming out the bottom. But i think from the top it will be the way of pushing the coil back down the chamber, from below its impossible, the hole is too small.

Here is a link to a video from @KZOR where he rebuilds the Justfog Mini Pod. Maybe it will give you some ideas.

Should be very similar if i get the coil out, difference is the gusto coil is vertical and the wick sits around it but should be able to do it.

Want to start DIYing salt nic if im able to rebuild the coil cause the pods are expensive for this little mod but it works great and its small which i love!

Man I loved my Gusto Mini with some nic salt Element pods, but the pricing just killed it for me. About 260 rand for 2 pods :(

And in my experience the pods weren't particularly good with wicking either, barely made it through the initial initial juice the pod came with before it burnt out.

Gonna try and disassemble my Breeze 2 coil tonite - saw a few Youtube videos that should help
Will feedback once I get it right

Such a pity bud... I love love love my two, just bought a third today... I get two fills per pod before my coil goes

Get urself a breeze two or the new aspire nautilus aio and get the element Ns20 20mls, not as great as the gusto imo but still up there

Rather the nautilus, the top cap of the Breeze 2 is crap to remove

Well, I dissembled it but the recoiling is not gonna work - solely due to having to spoil the bottom end of the coil housing (it has to be remove as there are cotton sheets directly underneath the housing).

Bottom came off easily...

Bottom end off (had to wedge it out and use pliers to pull, spoiling the bottom end)...

A whole lotta PT just to get the coil and cotton out - not to mention having to recoil and replace cotton

I think it's still cheaper to buy a new R40 coil, less stress

Yeah regarding the breeze 2 coil, it would be simpler to just buy a new coil tbh. I completely forgot to sit and disassemble my Gusto coil. If the Gusto could just take new coils that pops into the pod, that would have been great.

By the looks of KZor's video, the Minifit's coil looks easier to replace

Just had another look at the Youtube video where they replace the Breeze 1's coil (it has two coils).

They replace everything but they don't remove the bottom end of the housing and there are dirty cotton strips still visible
DIY could work but you would have to clean those cotton strips while in the housing

I'll try and give it another bash on another used coil of my buddy's

Okay so i managed to strip the gusto pod and it should be very simple to rebuild. Just need to get a thin gauge wire.

Will see when i can get wire then ill rebuild this pod and take it for a spin. If this works im sorted
