It's got the same fitting as your normal fitting for screw bit adapter

For coil building I think it's gonna work better than to bend each leg to go into the chuck

If you want something cheaper and easier for holding wire for coil making ... then get some stainless 10mm round bar, (+-50 -100 mm long should do the trick), and simply cut a slot in one end with a hacksaw ... I would suggest a cut around 30mm long.
If you then pop off your local hardware store and pick up a M4, M5, or even an M6 bolt, 15mm long, along with a suitable wingnut, you would then drill a hole through the round bar large enough to accommodate the bolt you purchased, so that the bolt effectively clamps the slot you cut closed.
