HELP!!!efest 18650 2500 mah

howsit guys just got the biggest fright of my life. I was chilling playing xbox my brother took my apollo with a efest 2500 mAh battery genuine not rerapped. anyways he gave it back to me and the mod felt so hot so i quickly took the battery out and saw next to the positive terminal it was burned so i quickly took the battery outside to cool, i checked on it a few minutes ago and there was liquid on it. i Know its f*d just not sure if its gonna blow up or what?? i dont understand i had a 0.5 ohm coil on and was running perfect any specific reason for this? and what do i do with this battery now? too scared to go near it now

Efest are rewrapped batteries. They are not a manufacturer. Bad luck bud. Glad you noticed it before something bad happened.
I have to say, it's the first 2500 that I've heard of that vented. Normally it's the new 2800 that does that. Interesting.

The efest i got is from a vape agent of mine and the battery itself has the scratch QR code to check its authenticy but you may be right only way to know is to peel off the cover

Mine has it too, but they're still re-wrapped batteries. Efest doesn't manufacture. The 2500 batteries are rewrapped LG HE2 batteries. It's quite common knowledge in the vape world.

There's nothing under the cover. It's clean metal. No identifying marks or logos or writing. I've re-wrapped a few efests myself.

It's possible that the coil could have shorted out, have you checked your build/coil?

what atty was on there? Check the positive post on the atty, it needs to protrude out quite a bit for hybrid mods
