Ijoy LUX Drowned

Hey guys

So from my stupidity i accidentaly messed e juice all over my LUX, it was still working until an hour later. All hell broke loose when i looked down and the wattage had spiked to 215w when i took another pull, dry burnt cotton and one adult male running around the house coughing and spitting his lungs out.
I managed to open it up and clean most of the juice that had spilt but now the fire button is not working. Is there anyone here that might know where or who has got a replacement button like this?
I have tried Mantech, communica, RS electrical, no one has the correct size to replace it with. From my measurements it is a 3 x 3 tactile switch in a 90 degree orientation.
Im hoping this is not the end of life for this mod...

looks like a button you would find in a gate/garage door/aftermarket alarm remote, I know Vape King deals with a guy to repair broken Mods, think his name is Johan

yeah, looks the same except the length of the "Button shaft" and the angle of the switch, it is mounted at a 90 degree.

Does anyone maybe have an old brocken lux that i can maybe strip the switch out of?

@Gadgetboy, have you got a multimeter to verify if the switch is working first before you attempt to find another one to replace it ?
Chances are if the mod fired at max wattage by adjusting itself automagically, that something else might be amiss.

I'd check the existing switch before going to the ends of the earth to find an exact match, only to find out afterwards that it's not the actual problem.

Did you try the sticking it in a bag of rice trick?I did it with a cell phone and it got the moisture out and it worked.You have nothing to lose at this point.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments.
Unfortunately i have tried the rice trick and it did not work. While i was at one of the electronic retailers they recommended i use a contact spray - this is used to clean contractors and switches. I bought a can and tried this, the + and - buttons now work but the fire button is dead. I have measured it with a multi meter and even removed it from the circuit. Im afraid this mod is going to be buried on the display cabinet.

We must remember that oils do not corrode electronics nor can they make shorts. The little water added will be 100% distilled so can also not cause a short. So it seems as if your problem is the oil between the surfaces of the switch contacts. My 2 cents.

@Gadgetboy , you may try this. I did it in a "Nothing to loose" situation and it did work. Getting all the juice out of hidden nooks and cranny's is what I believe did the trick.

Yeah. As said in a previous post the buttons + and - are working after a good clean with contact spray but the fire button is dead. It almost feels as if the “spring” if I can call it that, is damaged. I only need the fire button to get it working again. I’ve assembled it and shorted the solder pads and the damn thing fires. If I can’t get one, and iv almost exhausted my resources, I’ll Frankenstein it by installing the components into a plastic enclosure.
