Hi Ecigssa members, In this review i take a look at the Mirage DNA75C from Lost Vape. The Mirage DNA75C was supplied for the purpose of this review by Megan from Everzon.

Introduction
The Mirage DNA75C is a single battery device which will run with the use of a 21700, 20700 or 18650 battery and comes fully enabled with the replay feature and a new 100W preheat feature when using the international version of Escribe. The Mirage DNA75C from lost vape is only the second DNA colour device i have reviewed, the last was using the DNA250C chipset and my review was not over favourable to the point the manufacturer ceased talking to me from the moment i posted the review. If a manufacturer is going to use a chipset like the DNA250C or DNA75C and it's not going to show the respect it deserves by housing it in a shell that has toy looking rattling buttons and movement with the battery door then i really don't know what they expected. When the Mirage DNA75C arrived it gave me hope that i would not only enjoy the DNA colour chipset (as i did with my previous review, the chipset is excellent) but the device that it was housed in would give the chipset the respect it deserved, so let's find out.
In the Box
Contents:
1x Mirage DNA75C Mod (no cell)
1x 18650 Battery Adapter
1x Mirage Gift Box
1x User Manual
1x USB Cable
Aesthetics and Ergonomics
The Mirage comes in large flattish box packaging with outer sleeve and a drawer that pulls out revealing device and box with USB cable and battery adaptor placed in there own places within a foam lining. The Mirage is a looker and i would say just approx 5mm taller (to accomodate 20700/21700 battery) than an average single battery device, it's a really nice carry about size. I recieved the Red Blaze with Dark Grey frame version, it's commonly available in Red Blaze and Green Agate versions with a choice of Dark Grey or Black frames but i have also with a $10 premium seen it in Black Blaze, Purple Blaze and Rose Wood versions all with a choice of frames. I love the resin finish that covers most of the spine and sweeps around to cover the majority of the sides, it has a suede like texture to it that feels very comfortable but opening the battery door to look at the inner side confirms it's solid resin, not sure how they have got the suede feel finish. The device is curved both front and back with the buttons (including the large round fire button) and screen cover also being curved to match the contours of the device, the ergonomics are superb. The front has the already mentioned fire button at the top with small LED operation light, in a vertical line towards the bottom of the front we have the navigational and select buttons followed by the micro USB port, in the centre of the front we have the colour screen with curved cover. Both side has a small bit of Dark Grey frame top and bottom and more frame showing towards the front of the device the rest of the sides and spine is the already mentioned resin section. On one of the sides on the frame we have "MIRAGE" printed in White which i just don't feel is needed and would look better without it. The bottom of the device is the battery door which has a catch that needs to be moved physically, there is also branding, safety stamps and venting, moving to the top and to one side we have a 510 plate with stainless steel, spring loaded 510.

Fitting the batteries
The 21700, 20700 or 18650 with adaptor is placed inside the device via the bottom battery hatch door, the door has a catch that needs moving to the open position for the door to open, once your battery is in place and the door shut the catch needs pushing to the close position to secure. Some people prefer to just close the door and it automatically secures but i actually like the physical catch as my way of thinking is if it needs to be open and shut by physically moving a catch rather than the catch moving automatically it's less likely to become unsecured without physical help. The battery orientation is labelled by the + and - being etched on to the contacts, i do wish it was also clearly labelled in White.
Using The Mirage
Once a battery is fitted any press of a button wakes the device up and the lock screen is displayed that shows the time, date and battery percentage. 5 clicks of the fire button unlocks the device and takes you to the main screen, 5 clicks again locks the device, as with everything else on the device this can be changed using Escribe to 2,3 or however many clicks you want to lock and unlock the device you can even choose a different combination of buttons if you wish to stop people unlocking the device and having a vape while you are not looking. The screen is very bright and vibrant with good colour combinations used with the default theme. The device has a select button as well as the 2 navigational buttons so using the device is a breeze. Using the navigational buttons moves you to different fields on the screen which is shown by the field you are on having a background colour surround. When you are on the field you want pressing the select button highlights the field, now you use the navigational buttons to alter the field to what you want, pressing the select button again sets your changes. On the main screen as well as having fields you can alter you have fields like info, preheat and settings which when selected takes you to another screen. All screens are navigated and altered the same way as the main screen it is a very user friendly interface in my opinion and the DNA75C has all the features you would expect from a device as well as the replay feature which i will cover later and a new 100W preheat power feature.
Changing Things With Escribe
Using the Mirage with the Escribe software allows you to alter so many things, as already mentioned you can change how the device can be locked and unlocked but so much more can be done. You can set up profiles, alter boosts, set up temp control wires and even change the colour of the LED on the fire button. I am only just touching the surface and many reading this that are use to owning DNA devices will be far more advanced in using the software than me, there is even a mod section which is an area a novice like me should stay clear of as if the manufacturer has set the device up properly you can only possibly do more harm than good in this section unless you know exactly what your doing. The one part of Escribe which really appeals to me and will many is the theme designer that allows you to change the backgrounds, how things are positioned on the screen add extra screens etc. When i reviewed my other DNA colour device the pictures of the device showed my own Pearl Jam theme, this theme i have improved greatly and have done another couple of themes but this time i thought the pictures of the device should show the default theme that came installed on the device.
Replay
The Replay feature i love, i had already had a go with the feature when i had a look at the DNA250C device i reviewed but now have used it more often. To use the replay which did delay my use of it with the last colour DNA device i reviewed you need your coil to be using a temp control wire or include a temp control wire in it's make up but temp control it is definitely not. As well as using Replay and watching videos about it i'm still trying to get my head around how it actually works, but from my experience and from what i've seen, works it certainly does. The idea is when you find your flavour sweet spot while vaping you can record that vape and then vape in Replay mode and you should get that same flavour with every vape with that juice and coil combination regardless of things like how saturated the cotton is etc. I am still not convinced about the explanation it just seems too clever yet my experience tells me it actually works and is possibly the way forward in the future.
My Experience with the Mirage
This time around it wasn't just the performance of the DNA75C chipset i enjoyed and using the device with Escribe but also the ergonomics and look of the device i just love. The device does exactly what i ask of it, fires instantly and is just a great vaping experience. The buttons are nice and clicky and the curved fire button feels really nice. Of course i am writing this review having only used one other colour DNA device and only 2 other DNA devices in total so i can't compare the device with the competition, but if it wasn't for me spending a lot of time testing other devices i would be more than happy to use this permanently. The Mirage will accommodate a 28mm tank flush which is a big plus for a single battery device. The battery life seemed pretty much what i would expect and the device is fully upgradeable.
Pros
Good build quality
Looks very nice
Each device Unique look (resin varies)
DNA75C chipset
Colour screen
Fires Instantly
Fire button really nice feel and clicky
Secure battery door
Performs very well
Replay feature
Easy to use interface
Upload themes or design your own
Taylor device using Escribe software
100w Boost feature
28mm tanks without overhang
Upgrade using Escribe
Cons
Not for high wattage users (only 75W)
Would like to see clearer battery orientation
Single battery
Would look better without "MIRAGE" printed on side
I would once again like to thank Megan from Everzon for supplying the Lost Vape Mirage DNA75C device for the purpose of this review.
