Hi guys
A friend of mine gave me an original Noisy on Saturday, brand new, never been used.
He bought it on a whim a while ago, but has never had the guts to actually drop a build on it and use it.

I am still new to vaping, so while the idea of the noisy is pretty cool, I also like to have a face.
Is this a mod that I should just lock away, or will "average" builds be safe to run on it?
There is also no manual with it, but I know you can flip the bottom contact plate to switch between series and parallel, is either less (or more) dangerous than the other?

Another thing, he unscrewed the entire 510 connection, as well as the fire button, but then could not remember which came from which side of the mod. I assume (because the bottom of the 510 is marked as a positive contact), that it does not matter, as long as the battery connected to the 510 is positive side up and the one against the fire button is negative side up?

I am not a cowboy, so if there is no "safe" approach to using this mod, it will go in the drawer.

Owned one a while back. As far as i can remember its a series mod, there is no option to run it in parallel.
Dont get me wrong, it is a awesome mod and i paired mine up with a wasp nano but the button tends to get dirty VERY quick.
If you give it proper maintenance it will last a long time. Just my 2cents worth.

You are correct, seems to be series only. I also just noticed that it is a hybrid mech... making it just a little more scary.

Build between 0.4 and 0.5 Ohm to be safe.

Remember a series mech will send 8.4V to your coils on a full charge(2 batteries).

Here's an example:

Just an idea. Why not sell it and get the Cricket II
Not sure how he will feel about me selling the mod, but if he is okay with that, it is gone tomorrow.
I won't get a Noisy 2, as I recently got an Invader 4X, so all good in the Pot-Mod department... but there is always something good to spend some cash on if you look for 3 min, lol.
What do Noisy 1's go for anyway, maybe R200?

Yep, that is why I was initially excited about the idea of flipping to parallel, but I forget that it's only the Noisy 2 that has that dual option.
Might be a better idea to just get rid of it, that Tesla pot-mod hits hard enough for me, I probably shouldn't be taking chances when I don't really need to.

Thanks everyone for the replies though!

The Teslas are good mods.

I have the old Invader 3 and even at its lowest setting(3.6V) it hits harder than my mechs.

Yo dude, welcome to the big leagues, this is by far the greatest mod I've ever owned however due care is needed with it.

Firstly, only run dual coils on it for the very reason that a single coil cannot handle the heat the mod provides, it's not unsafe if the single build ohms in higher the 0.6 ohms but not enough coil mass in my opinion.

Secondly never build below 0.4 ohms to be safe, using white collar aliens where dual comes in just around 0.39 is pretty ok but that's the limit.

Thirdly, always use VTC 5A's, best recommended 18650 battery for mechanical mods as it has a high continuous discharge amp rating.

Lastly, I tend to clean out my button after every 3 days of use with rubbing alcohol or spirits, I open it up and check my spring as well on a weekly basis.

Also, the side where the atty and button goes means nothing as there is just a brass blate at the base of the mod, just put the positive side of the battery facing up where the atty is going on and negative up where the button is going on.

Recommended Attys for the device is the armor v1 or v2 rda, petri 22mm rada or my favorite drop solo in dual configuration mode.

Shout if there's any other help u need.
