Stanton is an idiot. Period.

Well, I have no idea what he (Prof Glantz) is talking about. What a pathetic study done by a wanker.

Poor sod Prof. Stanton Glanz is most probably being paid by a third force and worthy of wearing crocs. He gets the following award:

Yep, there are lies, damned lies and statistics. A true knob of note indeed, unfortunately general public also seem to consist of a bunch of knobs.

Most people that just buy a cig-a-like and some crappy juice to try it out will most likely not end up quitting smoking. A proper device and a support group like this forum does help a stack. Fortunately our vaping community is fairly tight-knit and we have vendors that generally recommend decent starter kits. Add some kick-ass juices that caters for most tastes, and that drastically increases the chances of quitting.

What these numb-nuts don't realize is that using 100 or even 1000 older studies will likely screw up results. The vaping industry has drastically changed in the last 2 years. The quality of current mods and tanks and the flavor and vapor they produce cannot be be compared to the then widely punted cig-a-like or pen devices that these studies were likely based on. Compare the current flood of complex & tasty juices to yesteryear's 'tobacco only' flavors of cigalikes and it's not rocket science to figure out why most people did NOT quit smoking.
I take my hat off to those that did quit smoking on those kak devices, as I definitely could not.

There is no excuse not to try or not to fully switch to vaping in today's world, as you've got to be extremely stupid if you do not to see any advantages.

I couldn't listen to the whole debate. It just pisses me off. The debate begins with a huge flaw. "E Cigarettes are not effective in quitting smoking..."

Who says people who vape WANT TO QUIT SMOKING? or let me rather say: "want to quit consuming nicotine". Most people who vape actually enjoy the whole ritual of consuming nicotine in the form of "steam" for want of a better word. We love the gear, the hype, the variety of juices and the act of making vapour clouds, big or small. Vaping is also not only sociable but very relaxing and enjoyable.

Why do these anti smoking lobbyists always try to draw an analogy between smokers who want to stop smoking and vaping? The two practices are world's apart. I happen to enjoy the effect that nicotine has on my brain. As much as a coffee consumer enjoys the kick of caffeine, or a beer drinker enjoys alcohol. I also enjoy the "freedom" to ruin my body in a way that I please. As much as a fat person enjoys eating burgers and pastries. Vaping affects no one except the person vaping. There is no second hand smoke issues.

If you want to stop consuming nicotine in the form of cigarettes, then by all means use the various methods out there: the patch, gum or even Wellbutrin for goodnes sake! But don't use the concept of vaping as condude for quitting "smoking". It's a flawed argument from the outset. Who said vaping was designed as a smoking sessation tool in the first place?

I will stop my rant as it works me up. Now where is my eLeaf. Oh there it is: Aaaah! Orgasmic!

Bloody moron.....
