The roles of a Reviewer, Influencer, Analyst and Critic can be confusing and sometimes overlap, but they each have distinct characteristics outlined below:

A Reviewer is someone who assesses and expresses a subjective opinion on a specific piece of work, product, or service. This could include books, movies, music, restaurants, and ... vape related goodies. Reviewers provide feedback based on their subjective experiences and personal preferences. Their reviews often focus on the features, quality, and overall impression of the item or experience. Reviewers may work for established companies, write for blogs, or create content independently.

An Influencer is an individual who has significant following on social media platforms and can influence the opinions and behaviors of their audience. Influencers often create content that showcases products, services, or experiences. They may collaborate with brands for sponsored content or use affiliate marketing to earn income.
Unlike Analysts and Critics, Influencers rarely provide in-depth analysis or evaluation. Their impact lies in their ability to connect with their audience and shape trends.

A Critic is someone who engages in a more profound analysis of a piece of work, often from an intellectual, technical, artistic, or cultural perspective.
Critics may evaluate creative works based on accepted standards, theories, and criteria. They provide insights that go beyond personal preferences and often consider the work within a broader context. Critics may work for companies, academic institutions, or independently. Their reviews can be more in-depth and may include elements of cultural commentary.

An Analyst is someone who systematically examines and interprets information, often with a focus on trends, patterns, or underlying principles.
An Analyst may study market trends, audience behavior, and industry developments. They may provide insights into the financial, technical, cultural, or social impact of a particular work or product. Analysts use data and research to support their evaluations and may offer predictions or recommendations based on their findings.

In summary; Influencers leverage their social media presence to influence their audience, while Reviewers share their opinions and impressions, usually for gain. Critics provide more in-depth analysis often grounded in theory, whilst Analysts focus on a broader perspective, with an emphasis on trends and impact. Each role serves a distinct purpose in offering perspectives on creative works, products and services.

Unfortunately the lines are so blurry between who is what especially on social media platforms. YouTube has gone from being the go-to review site in the past to "reviews to either subtly promote a product in some way or form or just get views and likes". It is 90% rubbish now. This applies to all industries.

The sad truth. :(
