As most of you know, i bought a ZNA and it did not work out as planed.
So bought another from Robbot and decided to compare the two to see what is the difference on the outside, with my first ZNA giving me a TOO HOT error i did not look at the function but just the build. Here is my findings
On the left is the Robbot ZNA, body made from 316 stainless steel with the battery tube and the minor parts done in 304 stainless steel. Website
On the right is a no name ZNA i bought the first time. The body is made of Aluminum Alloy with the minor parts made of brass and 304 stainless steel. Website
On first looks you can see that the Robbot clone look far better made than the no name one, there is no gap between the battery pipe and the makings on the battery pipe looks so much better done.
I am keeping the left side the Robbot clone and the right side the no name clone
Moving to the top cap:
I was rather surprised to see that the Robbot clone does not have an adjustable center pin. All the RDA RTA and normal tanks i tried worked but there will be that one that will give you a head ache
The no name clone has a nice bras adjustable center pin.
Moving to the top cap bottom side:
The center pin can be removed via a hex screw on the bottom of the top cap again this is 304 stainless steel
On the right is the no name clone with a brass screw to remove the adjustable center pin.
Moving to the main body:
The top were the top cap screws in you can see on the left the Robbot version is very clean on the right the no name cone have solder all over the connection plate.
Underneath the battery tube.
The Robbot clone again have a 304 stainless steel hex screw it the bottom with the no name clone having a brass screw at the bottom. The screw is you possessive for the battery and can be removed for cleaning.
The Robbot sticker protects the processor of the DNA board that is inside, with the no name clone being open you don't know when dust will make it's way into the electronic of the mod and you have a nice paper weight.
Bottom cap.
Both ZNA's have a nice beefy spring in the bottom. I was told that the spring in the Robbot clone is 304 stainless. It look like it heated up some and discolored, i might be wrong. The no name clone again have a nice brass spring
Both clones have a very nice venting hole in the bottom.
Display
You can see on the left the Robbot clone window is more rounded on the corners and that hides some of the information on the screen. The no name clone has a very nice screen but you can see some hot glue on the edges
Up Down buttons.
The Robbot clone button are just about flush with the body with the no name clone's sticking out a bit. The Robbot clone buttons are very sensitive, there is no audible click sound, you just about touch the button and the power changes. While using it normally for vaping i changed the power setting quite often just by resting my fingers on the buttons.
On the other hand the no name clone have very nice clicky buttons and you have to press them to change the power. I would have liked this but because they are sticking out so much i am not a fan.
Fire button:
On the Robbot clone the button is slightly shorter leaving a small gap between the button and the body. It does how ever have a very satisfying metallic click when you press it. With it being 304 stainless and polished the edge is quite sharp (like knife sharp).
On the no name clone you also have a very nice clicky button but in aluminum.
Holding the two clones in my hand i can give possessives and negatives about each one, but i think if Robbot just look at this few cosmetic things they will have a winner. The 316 stainless body feels very nice in your hand. the threads are very smooth, actually they are Z2 and compatible with all the original parts of the ZNA
