Sig 213 fire button not working

This late last night the mod stopped working. The fire button doesnt seem to work. I can change the watts and it goes on when batteries are inserted.

I've done the google and it seems some people have said try heating up the solder on the button and it will start working again....

I guess I want to know if anyone else has had this issue and if they fixed it in this way or any other?

More importantly is it safe to go down this road?

Yeah, I said I did the google and that video was what I found. I wanted to know if anyone technical could advise if this was a good or bad idea?

I wouldn’t have posted the video if I didn’t think it would help, it’s called a “dry joint” which is rectified by reflowing the solder.

If the fire button has lost its "clicky" then the internals of the tactile switch have expired and no amount of reflowing will fix it.
You'd have to desolder the tact switch and put in a new one, a fiddly job but not impossible, something I have already needed to do on my iJoy Solo mini some time back.

If indeed the tactile button is bust, likely due to liquid ingress. But without a firsthand look at the problem I would guess that the stresses applied to the soldered joints of the power button are the most likely point of failure in this case.

I guess one could easily rule out the button, before attempting to re-solder the connections.

It still feels clicky makes the noise and so on.... I did notice a power drop in the vape in the hour before. Basically each pull felt muted and I had to pull longer to get a decent vape. I'll take it apart tonight and see if the solder thing works. Thanks again.
