Hi all,
So I've been using this device since about 8pm on Tuesday night. What I am about to say is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth (in my opinion in any case )
Arguably one of the most stylish devices currently on the market: Sleek looks and nicely finished. Compared to my SVD, much more refined from an aesthetic point of view.
So let's start with the things I don't like:
1. (It has been mentioned before). The fact that the screen goes out as soon as you let the fire button go, which means if you want to see the info, you need to fire again without a vape.
2. I thought the puff counter would have a memory on the device, so that when you connect to your phone, it would be updated there. However, it only records puff counts, power info, etc while connected to the phone. A bit stupid, as I am sure everyone is well aware of how much battery power is wasted by Bluetooth.
3. The bottom part of the device seems a bit small ... very wobbly when you don't put it down properly. But the size adds to the aesthetics, so not too concerned about it.
4. The tanks don't sit flush on the top ring (Kayfun clone and PT2). I might just need to adjust something on the pin, not sure?!
And that's the list of the dislikes ... well not so much dislikes, as slight annoyances
Now for the likes:
1. ALL THE REST
Seriously though:
1. There has been a lot of comments about the button and confusing menu function. I don't agree however. I took me about 5 minutes to figure out how it works ... it took me way more than that to figure out the buttons on my SVD.
2. Custom power options via Bluetooth app. This I love. I have a 2 ohm coil in there, running 11W for 1s, and drop it down to 8W afterwards. This is nice to give you a good hit from the push of the button, and then like a smoothing out towards the end of the drag.
3. Protruding fire button. I assume some people won't like this, but I do. My SVD has the "sunken" button, so you basically have to use the tip of your finger to fire. With the BEC's protruding button, I can basically pick it up, and fire instantly with any portion of my finger (quite useful in the car while hooting, swearing, sending a text and vaping at the same time )
Not so much the device only, but the eFest 3100 purple I have in here is just awesome. From 8pm on Tuesday, I still have 40% battery life left, after burning through around 8mls of liquid.
So based on my twisp, evod, mPT3 and SVD experience, this unit is just amazing. I, in my status of Vaping expert , can really recommend it ... LOLZ
