Sadly, I have been of cigs for 80+- days. When I say sadly I mean that for the local petrol station loss of income from my 50 a day habit I kicked.
I have been tempted to smoke but it passes very quickly when I remember watching my Grandparents die from cancer related illnesses,(its a big word and I can't pronounce it). Then my uncle died in surgery last year from cancer. Trying to cut out the cancer. Then my mother is in remission. So vaping may have saved my life. I think ciggerets should be made illegal. Tax the shit out of us Vaper if they must. But this cycle of death must end. I hate the smell of cigs. The temptation is all around. America boasts a cut back of kids stopped smoking. But what about us? The location is full of kids smoking. Its getting worse. And with vaping gear at theese prices. Pfft to get nearly anyone to start vaping. What we need to do, someone needs to do, is start a vaping panel, start a charity around the country, flood SA with news and information. Everyone I meet knows nothing about vaping and when they do. Its popcorn lungs etc.
Charity, have every Vaper sponsor R100 or R50 a month to buying subvods or Ijust2 kits for the people who can't afford vaping costs. Get sponsors for juices and coils or even RBA, RTA tanks.
I'm willing to do my part. Let's kill ciggetes in this country. Let's do something, let's take a stand. If I'm willing to do something about this. Then I'm sure others will.

Pop our heads up too high and big tobacco will yield the ban hammer. Just my opinion.

With that tobacco giant laying off ppl for Ecig research may be a promising start. I think it was meblro... Anyway, we know something must be done mang.

I hope they leave the market free and open for the sake of us eliquid producers.

Hey @Nightwalker I get exactly what you saying and agree totally but you talking about a massive operations there, but I think the main focus one should try and do which is the easiest and any one of us fellow vapers can do and it costs nothing is too educate and try persuade people one meets to switch over from cigs to vaping.
It will be impossible to support hundreds of thousands of people with monthly supplies of coils and juice.
But if each person plays a part we can keep this movement going in the right direction.
Well up on keeping us inspired nightwalker.
Vape on...

The answer is much simpler, smokers use cigarettes because of ignorance, they usually seek healthier options like vaping once they have been informed of the dangers of setting fire to tobacco leaves and inhaling the smoke as per the old fashioned method.
Knowledge is power, its also the basis to make informed healthier decisions, ie more options.
This is why there is so much dis-information regarding vaping.

Much like watching the rain droplets striking a window pane, on their own they stand still, small liquid islands, but when they merge with other droplets they become a trickle which slowly runs down the glass gathering speed with each new merged droplet.
Its easy enough in the beginning to wipe your finger across the glass and change their paths, but all your fingers and toes wont be able to change the course of a raging river.

The solution is "each one teach one".

@Nightwalker, So smoking was fine whilst you smoked 50 a day - now you don't smoke you want to make it illegal. That's what is called behaving like a "converted tart" Not a good way to behave.

I'm just wondering what time you go to bed, I'll tell you what time I go to bed if you tell me what time you go to bed:)
:)

Well firstly when I started, there was no ecigs. Then about 3 years ago when the first ciggete shaped ones came out I jumped at it. I managed a month of cigs and it just cldnt help me. Way to week for what I was used to in the form of nicotine.
Somehow December last year I found vaping again and it had progressed enough to get me off cigs. And in three months, the joy of discovering new flavours, nic, vape gear just keeps getting better. So maybe I'm a massive converted tart. And maybe I should get the shirt. Seriously, that would be funny. I'm actually gonna ask a guy to make one.
And as to bed time... When I take the Valium and morphine pills.

Someone somewhere said "There is no such thing as bad publicity"
The tobacco companies have probably helped vaping (e-cigarettes)by trying to demonize them. These reports (or part thereof) get published in the media then we all start looking to see what is this vaping lark is all about. Sometimes silence is the best weapon. :)

I tried some e-cigarettes about 5 years ago - the taste was just horrible, three of us tried them and none of us liked them. The chewing gum well, I use to spit that out and then light up - miserable failure.

I normally go to bed around 3am - but that is because I suffer from 'Non 24 hour sleep/wake syndrome' or some such thing - they keep changing the name.
I thought you maybe a fellow sufferer.

 Thats not very nice.

I'm in total agreement with you - it's not a nice way to behave :D
Nightwalker says he may get the T shirt - hope he sends me one :)
Dave

I'm sure he can organise you a "Behaviour Police" one :p

I'm also a night owl, but think it's time to turn in. Hope you manage to get some shut eye too. :snooze: :)

@Nightwalker On a more serious note you have just come out of hospital and what you have said is very commendable and I believe genuine. However you need to care about yourself. It is not selfish to care for ones own health.
