Straight to the point this mod hits like a truck and feels great in the hand and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cost effective great mod.
Thats correct you heard that exactly right, cost effective, this mod was picked up brand new for R750 and the average price range is around about there but it keeps up if not surpases more high end mods.
The Think Vape Thor caps out at 200W but I never really use it above 100W as there is no need but with the ST200 chip in there this mod easily beats my old Segelei Fuchai. At 50W the Thor can beat the Fuchai at 100W in terms of ramp up and raw power.
On the note of ramp up time it is absolutely instant. From the moment you press the button youve hotboxed the room.
Now enough of me ranting on and on about how much I love this mod and lets get into the nitty gritty of it.
The mod comes in a multitude of skins and there is one for everyone. The mod itself is made from what appears to be an ABS kind of plastic but dont be fooled. The mod feels great in the hand with its rubbarised feeling that grips your hand.
The mod has a very basic menu system featuring modes such as Temp Control and Bypass mode for the mech lovers. The usual 5 clicks lock however this one is a bit iffy if you dont click fast enough it goes into the settings mode which is three clicks.
The battery door is a simple magnetic system there is no locling feature but I have yet to have any issues with it coming off.
Ive spent a few days using this mod and i must say I am extremely pleased with its performance that being said though there are two issues I have picked up on:
1) The button has a slight rattle if you shake the mod side to side. A few reviewers complained about the battery door ratteling which is easily fixed with a little tape but I did not have this issue.
2) Around the port where the atty sits on the vape the design has started to lift slightly which goes around the entire thing.
That being said this mod has fallen off the counter and barely has a nic on it
The screen layout is super minimal and in my opinion compares to that of the Vandy Vape Pulse
All in all my final thoughts on this mod are that it is a really great mod and if I compare it to something like a Smok Procolor I would choose the Thor
That being said... This mod I would mainly reccomend it to people who are just getting into vaping or are looking for an upgrade but dont want to break the bank.
I would definitely buy it again.
