Right, here we go. This is my first variable voltage / variable wattage device, been using it for the last week or so and i'm very happy with it. It has the standard up to 15 Watts and up to 6V thing, 18650 or 18350 mode, 5 amp limit, voltage and resistance checker and all that stuff. Now up to now i have been making use of an old evic regulated mod and i must say i like the difference. Much more oomph when i press the fire button now :)

What i like :
Ligtweight alumiunium body
Easy menu system (did not get any paperwork with mine, found a vamo user guide on ecf)
Buttons are firm yet springy, no problems pushing them so far
In 18350 mode it fits in a pocket very well.
It doesn't turn off by itself, and even when you do turn it off and swop batteries it remember's your last setting.
Screen doesn't light up when you vape
It's black :)
Chain vaping doesn't heat up my protank nearly as much as it used to. Guess it has something to do with better voltage regulation or something like that
The spring in the bottom cap is a gentle spring, so no battery bottoms or tops getting damaged like the evic battery tubes did

What could be better :
Aluminium threads. Yes i know it goes hand in hand with the tube being light, so have to take the good with the bad
Maybe it's just me but i am not really a fan with so many devices coming out with the ego/510 adaptor these days. Personally just a 510 adaptor would have reduced the size significantly and that might be a much better selling point
Slight battery rattle

Overall i'm very happy with my first vv/vw device :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

My first VV/VW device was also a Vamo, the SS Vamo V2 from Fasttech, I absolutely loved it and still use it now and then. It's a good device with a really affordable price tag, I've had it for about 8 months and it's still working fine. Hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it :)

Thanks for the review. That is Version 2, if I remember correctly. I have Version 3 in stainless steel with an OLED screen. Has been working for 7 months now, now problems at all. The buttons are all still perfect. The menu system and how you access with the buttons is much easier and more user friendly for me than the SVD.

Nice review @denizenx - thanks for sharing your experiences.

Are the Vamos available anywhere locally? Or just import?

at the price of these suckers i dont see why they haven't been imported yet :) makes the perfect vv/vw starter

Great review, what is the size in mm with the 18350 battery in?

Sent from my S4 LTE using my finger

I see no one answered @Silver request whether they are available locally?

@denizenx we still need to meet sometime to do a watermelon swop... would love to see your Vamo... where did you buy it from?

Thanks for finding that @Hein510

Pity though, stock is zero

Someone bought the one that was there when I looked. Probably someone checking out this thread:).

@Rob Fisher sure thing, just not tonight as i have a date :) rest of the week even during the day is good for me
I got my vamo from slowtech and i also wouldn't mind comparing the vamo to some of the other brands you have knocking about

Sweet... during the day works for me because my wife works a couple of days a week and that will give us time to play. Normally Mondays Wednesday and some Fridays are good days for socializing... ;) If we don't make it this week because I think I'm fishing on Wednesday next week will be open... let's see how we go!
