For a basic temp control you can look at the Rincoe Mechman 80w, not spot on, but it works to an extent.

If you want a decent 80w'ish temp control device, you will have to look at a DNA75/DNA75C or a YiHi device. They are going to set you back a bit more than R300, but in the long run it will be worth it.

I don't have first hand experience with Vaporesso mods, but I believe the AXON chip also holds it own on temp control for a mainstream brand. Those with the Gen/S/X that used it for temp control can shed some more light on the matter.

Vapor Storm Puma 200w was also not half bad for a starter on temp control, but not a 75w device.
