But not going to pay the crazy prices ppl ask for it. On gumtree there is one for R3000 all the while you can find old new stock on ebay for R500
These things were used all over, and old IT store-rooms should still have heaps of them around. I'm thinking R100 - R200 seems fair.
It is NOT for nostalgic reasons I want it. I just think as a software developer, that is the keyboard I need. Their key presses had the perfect feedback while typing. It has to do with the switching mechanics inside. Lovely keyboard that is.

What a wonderful keyboard that was indeed

If you are willing to pay, there are actually some newer mechanical keyboards out there...they are just expensive as hell :D
As a developer myself, I do sometimes miss the feedback of these keyboards, but I've gotten fairly used to the modern softer touch.

Shew if you can find one for that price I will take 2 as well. This was one iconic keyboard, the first of the mechanicals! If you look overseas as well they retail for around $95.00. I would definitely like one as well.

I gave 3 of them away middle of last year ! Thought they were worthless !

Rotten Bunny.

Vape the Planet !

Go ask them back :) will pay :p
That is exactly what i mean. The perception is that they are worthless. There MUST BE tons of them around! As in tons. They made these from '86 to early 90's. Every computer had one!

You developers and your mechanical keyboards...lol. I work in a software development environment as well, guys go nuts over these things. I love the feedback but they're a bit too noisy for my liking

Funny you should mention headphones - one of my buddies says he wears heaphones, sometimes not even plugged in so that the testers dont come to him with defects haha

Standard industry tactic

In the IT Industry, Headphones means to no disturb, even if the building is on fire, do not disturb
