White Collar coils

Apologies if there is already a dedicated thread to these coils. I just love the White Collar MTL Fused Claptons, but... It says it's a 3mm coil, but to me it seems to be 3mm OD and not 3mm ID. None of my 3mm rods fit in there. So, I'm resorting to gently maneuver it with a 2,5mm coil rod. Anyone else experience this? Is there perhaps and imperial size rod I can try and use?

I’ve had the opposite problem with some prebuilt coils.

they say they’re 3mm but they’re closer to to 3.5mm and I have to pull them back down to 3mm

Yup, I used one of their .2 Aliens for the first time yesterday and it was a very loose fit on a 3mm bit.

My batch of 2,5mm Ariels are all spot on!

they sound consistently inconsistent

I have been using the blue White Collar aliens for such a long time that i feel like a specialist.
I find them to be very consistent coils (always 0.22-0.23ohm in dual coil configuration) and hence it is my go-to for my DL setups.
I have so much faith in these coils that i actually use them to test the accuracy of the chips in new mods i receive.

Real pity about my loadshedding timeslot. I actually have two questions for them. Their ID seems really really tight, as in none of my 3mm coiling rods fit nicely and I ended up finding a screwdriver that is just below 3mm to adjust coils with. Also, their resistance is off, at least on the batches I've bought. I need to actually remove a wrap to get to their stated resistance. On several different attys and mods. It's a pity, as their coils are affordable and hold up well.
