Hey fellow vapers,

I’m looking for some local talent to help spread the word about Old Goat Coils—but I’m not just handing out freebies to anyone. I want to find vapers who love their builds, take great photos, and have the reach to make an impact. So here’s the deal:

Nominate your favorite local vape influencer! Tag or mention a South African vaper who you think deserves a set of high-quality handcrafted Alien coils from Old Goat Vape. Whether they’re a cloud chaser, flavor fanatic, or just someone who puts out amazing content, I want to hear about them!

I’ll send a set of coils to the 5 selected influencers. Each of them will get a free set of Old Goat Alien coils to install, test, and showcase on their Instagram or other social platforms.

The influencer with the most engagement wins! The person whose post gets the most love—likes, comments, shares—will become the first official Old Goat Ambassador and will receive a free set of coils every time I wrap a new batch!

One lucky forum member gets a set, too! I’ll also send a free set of coils to one of the members who engages in this thread and makes a valid nomination. So even if you're not an influencer, you still have a chance to get your hands on a set!

This is a chance to put South African vaping on the map, show off some killer builds, and support the local vape community.

Know someone who fits the bill? Drop their name below! Let’s get them in on this challenge!

Not really a follower of influencers to be honest. I don't think their reviews are un-biased as they won't give a negative review so they carry on getting free stuff.

Fair take, and I respect the skepticism. Some ‘influencers’ are just glorified salesmen, I won’t argue that. But that’s exactly why I’m doing this my way.

I’m not handing out freebies to anyone who’ll just nod along and say ‘fire flavor, bro’—I want real vapers, guys who actually use the coils and aren’t afraid to call out trash when they see it. If the coils suck, I expect to hear about it. If they’re good, I want to see them pushed to their limits and put through real-world use.

So, this isn’t about sucking up for free gear—it’s a challenge. And if you think most influencers can’t cut it, why not tag someone who can? If @SessionDrummer were South African, I would send him a set. I know he would give these coils an honest review.

I would not mind putting it through its paces and giving you honest feedback on it

I would love to try some
I love the enthusiasm, folks! But let’s be real—if I handed out coils to everyone who 'would love to try them,' I’d be out of wire before I even got started. If you’re keen to give them a go, they’re up on the site waiting for you. And since you’re here, use the discount code eCigsSa at checkout to knock a little off the price.

That being said, this giveaway is all about finding the right people to represent the brand—so get involved, nominate someone solid, and let’s make it interesting!

Quick Update from the Goat Shed

Two sets of Old Goat Coils are making their way to a couple of local influencers this week. Who are they? Ah, that’s classified for now — I don’t want to influence the tone or direction of their reviews.

They’ll be testing them out blind, giving honest feedback based on nothing but performance, flavour, and build quality. No bias. No fluff. Just raw coil performance, the way it should be.

I’ll share their thoughts once the reviews are in — good, bad, or baaa-rutal

Still thinking about who else deserves some free coils, so keep those suggestions coming.

The herd is watching

Hey folks,

I’m putting together a little something for the Old Goat blog, and I need your help.

I’m looking to shout out the legends — the mixers, modders, reviewers, and general misfits who still carry the torch for what made this community great. The ones keeping the DIY spirit alive, rebuilding instead of tossing, and helping others without looking for a pat on the back.

I’ve already got @SessionDrummer on the list (how could I not?), but I know there are plenty more goats out there doing the good work.

Drop some names below — forum members, creators, or anyone you think deserves a bit of recognition. Doesn’t matter if they’re loud or low-key. If they’ve made a difference in keeping the old-school, community-first vibe alive, I want to hear about them.

Let’s give the goats their flowers.
(And if you nominate yourself, just bring the banter with it )

Great idea.
There is a lot of people that contribute and help out where they can throughout the country but I will mention two individuals who stand out for me.

Firstly Renaldo Rheeder from The Good Guys. He keeps our little mixing community here in Port Elizabeth going and helps out wherever and whenever possible.

Next would be Timothy Victor who has done great work in the JHB area setting up meetings and event for the hobby gang and always willing to help people all over the country through the PIF ( pay it forward) service that he runs for struggling vapers or smokers who want to switch over.

Hey @JMartin

Thanks for the reply. I 100% agree with those 2 nominations.
I also think we need add Uncle Rob (the main Man) and the guy from VSML (can't remember the name right now).

Just dropped a new rant on the blog — this one’s close to the heart.

https://oldgoatvape.co.za/blogs/old...ck-aka-before-tiktok-vaping-ruined-everything

I went full Old Goat mode on this one — a bit of nostalgia, a fair bit of ranting, and a big fat middle hoof to what disposables and TikTok trends have done to the scene.

What makes this post different? Nearly every name I shouted out in it is someone from this very forum. Y’all are the ones still keeping it real, still rebuilding, mixing, sharing knowledge and keeping the culture alive. You’ll probably recognize a few names in there — and if you don’t yet, you should.

Give it a read. Leave a comment if you’ve got bones to pick or stories to share. Or just come help me yell at clouds for a while.

Stay grumpy. Stay cloudy.

Thanks for that @Old_Goat. I can't personally speak to any local SA influencers or I'd drop them here.

Alright lads…
Been playing around with an idea that’s a bit… unorthodox. You ever looked at a 3mm ID alien and thought, “Cool—but what if we went wider, flatter, chonkier?”
This one’s built for the big RDAs—the kind that laugh at 22mm decks and beg for more metal.
Still in the early stages, but let’s just say the wraps are lining up, and the excitement is real.
Testing soon.
Pics soon.
Clouds… oh, they’re coming.

We call it the Slab Daddy.
Stay tuned.
