If you do want to stick to it you could try getting 26g Kanthal and build a 2.5ID 8 wraps that will give you around 1ohm, I've used this as one of my builds and it delivers quite well. This is with the CLR coil.

I had the same issue with a Joyetech charger. I bought a universal plug adapter that fits all plugs for R50. If you are willing to shell out the cash it can be a nifty tool for many other electronics too.

ok, so I just built a 3mm ID 5 wrap coil reading at .6 ohms and the flavour has definitely improved. Just a bit busy at the moment but I will post pics soon as I get the chance. Perhaps there's something else I could improve on. Thanks for the advice guys.
