Feels like sand, but RTA was never in sand

I never felt actual sand on my fingers. Definitely friction when you try to set the airflow control. But a good clean seemed to fix the problem for me. This happened only twice to me but with 2 different tanks. Not something that re-occurs frequently though.

Feels like sand, but RTA was never in sand

Had a similar issue with my subtank mini before. Crystallization could be possible if sweetners/additives are used in the eliquid. When cleaning, just disassemble the tank and submerge in hot water. While the tank is in hot water, turn the airflow control a couple of times to expose any...

    Fixing Sapor loose center post?

Thanks for this. Most high temp adhesives and even uv curable adhesives outweigh the cost of getting another tank. Will just get a new tank. Safest option.

Eleaf Istick 100W - Low Battery Warning Fault

Thanks for the compliment! I have 2 of the istick 100W units. One purchased locally roughly about 4 months old. Used this one and the 510 connector gave up on me. Manufacturer was kind enough to send me a second replacement after I highlighted the problem. The second Istick 100W (replacement)...

Eleaf Istick 100W - Low Battery Warning Fault

After repairing about a week later, the low battery warning issue and intermittent power (will not turn on at times) issue surfaced back again. This happens on both my istick 100W mods. So being tired of just fixing the problem, I decided to look at the cause. Eliquid seems to be leaking through...

Smok M80 Plus - Humming noise, getting warm and not firing?

The humming sound you are hearing is the malfunctioning of the internal switching components (mosfets). The fact that it is heating up means that there is an electrical short circuit inside. This could be due to component failure or eliquid that has leaked inside. The unit is going into a form...

    Xcube 2 - Damaged - No Power

I personally don't like these Tesiyi batteries. They seem to discharge really quickly compared to other brands like AWR. Just had them lying around and I generally keep about 3 to 4 sets of batteries that I carry around to prevent strain from charging/discharging. But I must say, the true test...

    Xcube 2 - Damaged - No Power

The safety of this mod is questionable. Normally in any electronic switching device using mosfets there are high speed switching diodes and a fast blow fuse which ruptures open circuit before meltdown or major damage. Didn't seem to happen in this mod. I think if I had left the batteries in and...

    Xcube 2 - Damaged - No Power

Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent mod. The features and advance settings give you total control on the device. I honestly don't think that Smok did proper testing before releasing this mod taking into consideration high humidity levels, high temperatures etc. in international countries...

    Xcube 2 - Damaged - No Power

With all of the bells and whistles on the Smok Xcube 2, it certainly stood out as a mod that I needed to have in my collection. Bought the device in November 2015, used it moderately at around 40 watts maximum and during December this is were everything went wrong. I had the device in its off...

Eleaf Istick 100W - Low Battery Warning Fault

Recently had an issue with 2 istick 100W mods were the unit flashes empty/low battery warning on the lcd display. Both units would also not turn on sometimes unless the charger was plugged in. Initially, I thought the batteries needed replacement, tried new batteries, same result. With the...

Spare 510 Connector For eleaf Istick 100W

If you have a similar issue like me, with a broken 510 connector on the istick 100W, a replacement connector can be purchased from fasttech.com or aliexpress. A bit of a wait though but I managed to bring my istick back to life and fix the poor design issue permanently. The replacement 510...

Spare 510 Connector For eleaf Istick 100W

Some reading on the net reveals that this is a common problem with the istick. I have owned the 30W & 50W models without issues and decent for the price. Can't say the same for the 100W. Had it for just 4 months now then this issue with the broken connector while using the same tank I used on...

Spare 510 Connector For eleaf Istick 100W

Hi all. Can anyone point me out in the right direction to purchase a spare 510 battery connection for my istick 100W battery? Had this thing for 4 months now and the negative terminal completely broke off. Tried soldering several times but same issue. I think at this stage, replacing the...
