I am not saying xtar are not very good chargers because being a reviewer i know every single manufacturer of vaping products would have some people who have had bad experiences with their products, no different with chargers it's just in my case i have found them unreliable but then although i can't fault Nitecore from experience others would no doubt of had a different experience!Ooooh, so one point down for them then.
I prefer xtar because I’ve had less bays fail than a nitecore and also xtar has been the brand that has lasted me the longest i.e. I’ve gotten the most miles out of xtar and they are still going strong. Any other charger I buy is purely out of curiosity. I have had a nitecore leave me with no working charger and now even though I always have a backup, xtar hasn’t failed yet.I am not saying xtar are not very good chargers because being a reviewer i know every single manufacturer of vaping products would have some people who have had bad experiences with their products, no different with chargers it's just in my case i have found them unreliable but then although i can't fault Nitecore from experience others would no doubt of had a different experience!
I use this charger while at work aswell and one day I broke the USB port and went home that night cut a usb cord and soldered it straight to the board. It's still going strong.View attachment 194170 the only charger had for +/- 2years. It might not be the best, but for me it is, it can also be used as a charger in an emergency(power bank) and takes different sizes including AAA.
Yip, mine also plays a tune when charging. The tone changes as the display scrolls through the different screens. Useful as I can not forget unplugging the charger at night, it is a really irritating sound. Safety feature rather than a flaw. Lol.Great thread @ivc_mixer
I have a Nitecore i4 and I bought a i2 thinking I would use it for travel purposes
Both have been working flawlessly for about 6 and 5 years.
My only gripe is the i2 makes a very slight buzzing sound. Drives me mad when in a hotel room and it’s nearby, so I now take the i4 on trips.
Am keen to get another charger, I like that Xtar VC4

Again different experiences i had a very early I2 which i had for 4 years before passing it on to my son when he started vaping, he's still using it with no problems it must be 7 years old now!Missed this for some reason. Seems to be then only the I2's which are not up to scratch.
I believe you will find duds amongst all brands. It's the percentage of duds versus good ones that matters.I just remembered, I have a old Efest Soda - this one below - that I've had since I started vaping in 2016. Was my very first charger I bought and it's still going strong day in and day out. I've had to oil the spring mechanism once or twice, but otherwise, no issues. Reason I forgot about it is because it's at the office and with lockdown having me work from home I didn't think of it (out of sight, out of mind). Charges super fast, hence being used at the office as one does not always have time to wait for a long charge, and it's almost 5yrs old now and still going strong. But I cannot help but wonder if it's like SMOK, where you have one good one among a bunch of others which are okay, but there are other brands that are better.

I've ever tried this VC8. XTAR's charger is good at charging li-ion battery. I only have 2pcs 21700 and one 18650. So I didn't buy it. I have a PB2S in red color.I have had more than a few chargers... I loved my Golisi because its display was brilliant... but it went faulty. FAIL! I have had my Fest 6 SLot Bluetooth charger for a long time and it fits all the batteries and has performed well... but it only has lights to indicate the charge and you need to use the app on your phone to see the details which is a bit of a pain.
I have an Xtar VC8 Smart Charger in my Amazon basket waiting for the lockdown to finish... and it appears to be all things to all people!

Those of you whose chargers died. Were you using the 12V DC input or the 220V AC ?
Always 220v I never try the 12v out ... don’t think I ever would.Just out of interest.
