technically you cant but its not ideal.

a mech will deliver all of its power at full charge and slowly discharge. so you may have too much power in the morning and not enough in the afternoon. the coil you build will need to handle the max power of the mod. for a tank i prefer to use a regulated mod which can control the power.

Very true, mech's are not recommended for use with tanks.. in my opinion anyway.
