Disappointing experience

I really hate doing this sort of thing, but in this case I feel it is necessary.

As per my post in another thread here, I have purchased items from the classifieds quite a few times and have always been satisfied with my purchases and have generally had good experiences. I have also left a positive review when a seller did impress me, as can be seen here.

My most recent purchase was really disappointing though.

I purchased 2 Zeus X RTA's from @GrantSchnepel as advertised here.

Pros:
  • I requested that he hold them for me till payday, and he did.
  • Very clear communication about shipping
Cons:
  • The ad says that all accessories are included, but this was not the case. The Zeus X comes with a bubble glass installed and a spare straight glass. I received one with a straight glass installed and a spare straight glass, and the other with a bubble glass installed and no spare glass.
  • The pictures of the tanks show that there is juice in the tanks, but the seller did say in the second post of his thread that the items would be cleaned before shipping. I received both tanks with juice in them, and they had leaked out and damaged the packaging.
I have purchased a spare bubble glass (as this is my preference for the Zeus X) from a vendor close to me and have cleaned, recoiled and rewicked the tanks and I am using them.

I have not contacted the seller as I do not feel it worth the effort to get any restitution. I have already cleaned the devices and bought the glass. I do feel disappointed in the condition the items were shipped to me though, and will thus not be purchasing from this seller again.

To provide an update on this. @GrantSchnepel saw this thread and reached out to me with an explanation and an apology.

He had sold the items on behalf of a friend and it was this friend who shipped the items out in the state that they were received.

I appreciate the gesture of the apology and only feel it fair to note that here along with the original complaint.

I in no way want to get a caution sign with my name for dirty items or spares missing ( won't go too into detail since I've private messaged you explaining everything) so no need for that here...

We all know vapers who are not on the forum and of course we're happy to help them to buy/sell something, but I think the above experience has been a valuable lesson for us all! Thanks to the experiences above, I will never offer to sell a mod on behalf of someone unless I have the mod in my hands - and it remains in my hands until sold.
