A lot from the forum and ATF also elr but still all my flavours are dull and bland, thought it was a steeping issue but some have steeped for 6 weeks now and still to no avail, I’ve followed all the tips I got from this site, invested in scales but I just can’t seem to win

Really appreciate it, I like fruity Vapes now in summer, maybe something less complexed... I have a number of fruits especially tfa, the ones I’ve made with tfa Fuji were half ok but not what I really enjoy

I love loaded cranapple and tried to diy it also which many say is 1:1 clone but it’s so dull also on my taste buds

@Jengz, if you find yourself in PTA, give me a heads up. We can go have a coffee and test out a bunch of juices?
I'll shout if I come to JHB, maybe we meet up there.
Just a note ... all my juices are 0mg, not sure how much of a problem that will be for you?

This is awesome thanks! Maybe I can pm u next weekend? I’ll be in the east Rand then? Thanks @TheV and @Tanja ... and if all fails in a meetup hopefully we meet at the Vape meet

@Jengz I usually only do dessert flavours but I have tried the ocassional fruity flavour.

From what I have learnt, some fruity flavours require additional items to make them 'pop' such as malic acid/sour-pretty sure that you can get this from Black Vapour. Some people also feel that adding a bit of lemon juice (which I do not do,I have ordered lemon sicily from Black Vapour and it has worked) which would also give a 'fresh' experience to your juices, but only to be used at a fraction of a percent or up to 1%.

Also,Check the VG,nic and sweetener/EM that you are using.Ive learnt that if I over-step the sweetener just a little bit,it starts killing the flavour of my juice.Furthermore,VG kills flavour through its sweetness and Nic through its bitterness.

Some people firmly believe that because natural fruits have acid in them, that a kind of acidity is required in fruity vapes, though I have not personally tried this myself.

This is an extract from a DIY site which I had encountered some time ago:
"the addition of lemon or a lime flavour can bring out strawberries , small amounts of coconut with cherry, small amounts of raspberry or a current with blueberry (and vice versa) there are a lot of fruits that will really help other fruits pop I try to look to cooking to give me ideas (cocktail mixes are are another great pointer)."

I hope anything that I have shared could be of some help, though I am no expert (YET) :D.

There are others with alot more experience and expertise on the forum and I am sure that they will catch up with this thread in due course.
Please post results and questions if you have any,as we all learn from other members of the forum as they respond.

Thanks so much for all this advice, I’m gonna mix up some 50/50 VG/PG recipes later today, maybe this will help because I’ve bought new pg and vg but it hasn’t changed muched, I ask don’t use nic atm just to get my flavours right. Have nonnas cake and joy on the way to make a simply cannoli which everyone raves about so let’s see how it goes, just wanted to buy someone’s diy mixes to see how great the best diy stuff actually is. But will definitely use all this advice going forward

PM me, I'm in Florida - we can meet up and I'll try and help. I only do fruity flavours
