Guys, just an update. I did a patine finish on the tune that came with the kit.

Not quite 100% done in terms of glazing but it came out really nice!

Looks awesome. I tried to patina one of mine but all I ended up doing was stripping the copper plating off

For the Petina to work properly, you do have to strip off the red copper. When you're on the yello copper, the Petina works 100%.

Use the purest Ammonia you can find and normal table salt. It took me about 3 days to get the correct cover.

I have not had time to do testing with my Fluke, but I've probably pushed 20-30 sets of batteries on the upgrade parts and cannot say that I can notice any decrease in performance. The button works very well and so does the hybrid connector.
